For this nature sound meditation,
I'd like for you to find a comfortable position,
Be it seated cross-legged on the floor,
In a chair with your feet flat on the ground,
Or even lying down.
I'd like for you to begin with a few deep breaths,
Breathing deep into the belly to help you relax and to bring you to the sensations of this present moment.
Now gently close your eyes and be present to what is being experienced right now with your eyes closed.
I want you to notice how your body feels as well as the activity of your mind and your emotions.
I want you to experience whatever is present without resisting anything or trying to change it.
We'll just sit right here for a moment.
Now I'd like for you to bring your awareness to everything that you can experience in your surroundings.
Just become aware of how the breeze it feels on your skin and how the sun even feels beaming on your skin.
Notice any sounds around you.
Perhaps you are focusing in on the birds or the sounds of the insects or even a dog barking in the distance.
Just open your senses,
Ensuring to listen to the music that is in nature.
You may have found something here.
Some people say.
I invite you to continue to sit in and experience these feelings and sound.
And if your mind begins to wander,
Gently bring it back to this present moment,
To what you are experiencing in nature.
As you meditate,
You can observe where your attention is naturally drawn.
Focus on what you notice in greater detail.
Is it a particular bird song?
Does that sound that you are focusing in on have a particular quality?
Take time to open your senses of hearing and noticing the quality of the sound.
Again,
Whenever you notice that your mind has drifted into thought,
Just gently bring yourself back to the sounds and the sensations being felt and heard here and now.
There are times when you will find that both the awareness of sensations from the environment around you,
Such as the birds chirping,
As well as thoughts will be present in your mind.
Bring your attention back to the sensations in the environment.
In this last minute,
See if you can notice every sound,
Every sound around you.
Okay.
The ringing of the bell symbolizes the end of the meditation.
Simply open your eyes when you are ready and come back into the room.
Namaste.
