An 8-minute Om Chanting Meditation. It is beginner-friendly and is conducive to restoring inner peace in us. Whether you identify with the spiritual aspect of 'OM' or not, sounding the Sanskrit letter creates gentle reverberations in our body, creating a soothing effect.

Welcome everybody.

My name is Joyce and I will be your meditation guide in this audio.

Today we would be doing an Om chanting meditation.

Om is a primordial sound,

An ancient Sanskrit letter.

The sound of Om is said to contain the entire universe.

It is said to be the first sound from the beginning of time and it also encompasses the present and the future.

Meditating on the sound Om creates gentle reverberations around the body that help to relax the muscles and the organs.

Now when you're ready,

Make sure you find a comfortable position either seated or lying down.

To make the sound Om,

Break down the syllables to A-O-M.

Repeat a round and open shape of the mouth,

Then gently closing the lips when you finish.

It would sound something like this.

Try practicing once or twice.

Now you will chant six times in the rest of the audio.

You could start chanting when you hear.

When you are ready,

Take a deep breath in.

As you meditate on the sound Om,

Let your entire body relax and release any tension.

And again.

As you begin to get deeper in this meditative state,

The vibration from the Om chanting will become more subtle and quieter.

With each Om,

You should notice your mind and body sinking more into the sound.

And the last one.

A-O-M Now simply enjoy the peace you have created for yourself by the chant of Om.

You do not have to watch your phone to notice the time.

You will be hearing a chime once the time is up.

A-O-M It is about time to come back to the present.

Start wriggling your fingers and your toes.

Start coming back into the room that you are in.
