Take a deep breath.

Let all the noise drift away.

Let's clock out and tune in.

Here's affirmations for seasonal depression part one.

A new season has finally arrived.

Another opportunity to grow and evolve is here.

I see that others are thriving.

They seem to be handling the change well.

And all I feel is lost.

I feel confused.

I feel like I'm falling behind.

Sometimes I feel like I just can't keep up.

I feel overwhelmed and exhausted.

And now I see how comparison is making matters worse.

But today I choose to be kind to myself.

In this space I give myself permission to process what I feel.

On the surface it seems like I have it all together.

But the truth is I'm having a hard time adapting.

I'm putting a lot of pressure on myself.

To be perfect.

To be on firm ground.

I'm putting a lot of pressure on myself.

I'm putting a lot of pressure on myself.

To keep going.

To keep going.

Even when I need to take a break.

I know now that this season is asking me to slow down.

This season is asking me to shift.

To honor what I need in this moment.

It's asking me to shift my routine to a more gentle one.

This season is asking me to prioritize my well-being.

This season is asking me to let go of my dependence on time.

With new seasons sometimes I can't help but to see the change.

To see the progress I haven't made.

To see where I've not yet arrived.

To see the goals I've not yet achieved.

To see that I'm not where I thought I would be.

But the truth is I don't want to race against the clock or romanticize the past or beat myself up.

I don't want to compare my life to others.

I don't want to compare who I am now or where I am now with my past self.

With my younger self.

Or the decisions I made in the past.

I just want to adjust well.

I want to do my best now.

With what I know now.

With the resources that I have.

My best.

That is what I'm going to do.

That is what I'm doing.

Well that is it for today's episode.

Here's to choosing you,

Beloved.

Here's to working on yourself and your healing.

Thank you so much for allowing us to be on this journey with you.

Please take a breather and know that these affirmations will be here whenever you need them.

Thank you so much for being here.

Namaste,

Beloved.

I live in San Francisco’s fog belt, where my seasonal affective disorder is worst in summer. Thank you so much for realizing that not everyone’s SAD manifests just in winter, and for tailoring the content of this practice to be appropriate for any season.
