During this guided meditation,
I will help you explore and reminisce about why you fell enough with your partner.
This is a powerful exercise and will help you understand where the strengths lie in your relationship.
Make yourself comfortable,
Free from distraction.
Settle down your mind and lightly close your eyes.
Place your palms upwards and connect to the energy in the space around you.
Stay open to this meditation and all that the universe has to bring you.
Become aware of how you're feeling in this moment.
When concentration fades,
Simply come back to the breath.
This is your time and your space.
You have nowhere else to be.
This is your time to be and give this peaceful time to yourself.
Take some deep breaths,
Breathing in clean fresh air.
Expanding your diaphragm,
Inhaling till you can take no more breath in.
Hold for a few seconds and then slowly exhale until there is no more air left.
Hold for a few seconds and restart the cycle again.
Inhaling hope,
Opportunity and lightness.
Exhaling negative energy,
Fear and reluctance.
Keep focusing on the breath,
Slowly inhaling.
Hold for a few seconds and slowly exhaling.
Gently let your breath settle into a natural pattern.
Trust that you are capable of recalling the events you need to.
Don't force the process or overthink.
What you need to know will come to you.
Not all of what I'm about to share with you will be relevant.
Discard what you don't need and if your mind wanders,
Bring it back to focusing on your breath.
Remember the day you met your partner.
Where were you?
What were you wearing?
How were you feeling on that day?
What's the story that you share with others about how you met?
What first attracted you to your partner?
How did they make you feel?
There is no good or bad in any of this.
Don't judge yourself or the situation.
Let the thoughts come naturally to you.
What did you most admire about your partner?
Where did you go on your first date?
How did you feel beforehand?
Did anything funny happen during your date?
How did things develop between you?
When did you know you were truly in love with each other?
Who was the first to say I love you?
What did your partner do that made you feel special?
What was your hope and anticipation for the future?
What specifically drew you to your partner?
What were their top 10 qualities that you liked the most?
Take a few moments to consider this while gently breathing.
If your mind wanders,
Take some deep breaths and come back to focusing on your relationship.
Let the thoughts come to you.
As you reminisce,
Notice how this makes you feel and the reaction in your body.
Stay open to love and new ways of embodying love in your relationship.
Take a few moments,
Breathing deeply and enjoying this experience you've created in your mind today.
When you are ready,
Rub your hands together until you feel heat between your palms.
Gently cover your eyes.
In your own time,
Slowly open your eyes and remove your hands,
Gently re-entering the world around you in a state of peace,
Feeling hopeful,
Loved and calm.
Now take some time to write about your experience and your very own love story.
It doesn't have to be perfect and you can revisit this exercise whenever you need to.
