Hello!
Welcome in.
Take a moment to find a comfortable position.
You can lay down.
Whatever lets your body feel supported in this moment.
Your eyes can close or soften your gaze.
And take some slow,
Deep breaths.
Breathe in through your nose.
And let it go with a sigh.
Again,
Breathe in.
And release.
Let's do one more together.
Deep breath in through your nose.
And release.
And like to share something with you as we settle in.
Your brain is shaped by experience.
Every thought you've thought over and over.
Every way you've learned to respond to the world or react.
Has worn a pathway like a groove in the earth.
Think of a trail through a meadow.
The more it's walked,
The deeper it gets,
And the easier it is to fall into without thinking.
Becomes your default way of being.
Many of our deepest grooves were carved a long time ago,
In childhood,
In our teens,
From trauma,
Or messages from family,
School,
The world.
Messages like,
Be better,
Work harder.
Don't be so loud.
You must earn your place.
You didn't choose those grooves,
You learned them.
And often they began as a way to keep you safe.
And here's what's beautiful.
You don't have to fight those grooves or erase them.
You can simply begin to see them differently.
You can reframe that old pattern of self-criticism and perfectionism.
That's holding you back.
You can see it as a part of you.
That was trying to protect you.
And you can thank it gently.
And then each time you meet yourself with kindness.
You're laying down a new pathway.
Know that when you practice self-love regularly,
It's like water flowing into those old grooves.
Softening them.
Widening them.
And flooding them with warmth and golden light.
Over time,
The brain really does reshape itself around what we practice.
And as those pathways open up,
Something will shift.
You can accept where you are right now.
Without ruminating on the past.
Or worrying about the future.
You will become more present.
More open to new experiences,
Less afraid.
And more able to love fully.
And deeply.
Yourself,
And others.
So let's practice this now.
Bring your attention to your heart center.
The middle of your chest.
And if it feels right.
Rest a hand there.
Feel the warmth of your own hands.
The rise and fall of your breath.
Now maybe add your second hand.
And feel even more warm.
Maybe a tingling throughout your body.
Bring to mind one old pattern.
Something not too heavy.
Maybe it's a way you tend to be hard on yourself.
We're not gonna fix it,
We're just going to notice it.
The way you'd notice a path in a meadow.
And silently say to that part of you.
Thank you for trying to protect me.
I see you.
I've got this now.
Now imagine a soft golden light.
Flowing from your heart into that old groove.
Filling it,
Warming it.
Widening it.
Until it's spacious and gentle.
Now breathe into those grooves,
Kindness.
And breathe out any tightness.
Relax.
Now let's plant some new seeds in this softened ground.
Repeat these silently or loud if you like.
Let each one land in your body.
Not just your mind.
I am worthy of love exactly as I am.
My worth is not something I earn.
It's something I was born with.
I am valuable.
I matter.
I trust myself.
And I'm growing in confidence every day.
I am safe to open my heart.
I release the need to be perfect.
I am enough just as I am right now.
I treat myself with compassion,
Kindness,
And respect.
I honor who I have been.
And I welcome who I am becoming.
I am worthy of joy.
Of rest.
And of deep and lasting love.
Now if one of these affirmations touched something in you,
Stay with it for a bit longer.
And let it grow.
Let it fill up those grooves.
Now take a deep breath in.
Filling your whole body with self-love and a deep,
Warm glow.
Know that every moment you choose kindness toward yourself,
You are shaping these new pathways.
And you're making more room in your life for love.
If you're ready to come back.
Start to notice sounds or the room around you.
Take a stretch if you like.
But if you want to stay here for a little bit longer,
Let the music carry you.
And thank you for practicing with me today.
Be gentle with yourself.
Namaste.
