Welcome everyone for the full moon meditation.
Take a comfortable position,
Either seated or lying down.
Close your eyes gently and allow your body to soften.
Take a deep breath in through the nose and a long,
Slow breath out through the mouth.
Again,
Inhale deeply and exhale completely,
Letting go of the day so far.
With each breath,
Allow your body to sink deeper into stillness.
Feel yourself arriving fully in this moment.
The full moon is a time to shine,
To release and to renew.
It shines a light on what is ready to leave and it also guides us toward what our soul is longing for.
Tonight we invite the moonlight to help us let go and to call in what we truly desire.
Bring your attention to your body.
Notice your shoulders,
Your jaw,
Your hands.
If there is any tension,
Soften it.
Allow gravity to hold you.
Now become aware of your breath.
Notice the natural rhythm,
The gentle rise and fall.
With each inhale,
Imagine drawing in calmness and with each exhale,
Imagine releasing heaviness.
Take three slow,
Steady breaths this way.
Breathing in,
Peace.
Breathing out,
Release.
Now imagine above you a beautiful,
Radiant full moon.
It's silver light is soft,
Pure and healing.
See it glowing in the night sky,
Steady and bright.
Feel this moonlight streaming down towards you.
Gently touching the crown of your head.
It flows slowly through your body,
Filling your mind,
Your heart,
Your entire being with clarity and calm.
Breathe it in.
Let this light wash away any heaviness,
Any stuck energy.
Bring to your awareness something you are ready to release.
It may be a thought,
A pattern,
A habit,
Or a fear.
Whatever it is,
Allow it to rise gently to the surface without judgment.
See yourself placing this into the moonlight.
Watch as it dissolves.
Let it go.
Repeat softly,
Either aloud or silently within your mind.
I release what no longer serves me.
I trust the cycles of life.
Take a deep breath in and as you exhale,
Feel yourself becoming lighter,
Freer,
Calmer and more open.
Now,
Invite into your heart what you wish to welcome in.
It may be peace,
Love,
Clarity,
Abundance.
Or simply more joy.
See this intention glowing within your heart.
As you breathe,
Allow the moonlight to charge it with energy.
See it growing brighter and stronger inside you.
Repeat softly,
Either aloud or in your mind.
I welcome what nourishes my soul.
I am aligned with my highest path.
Feel this truth radiating through every cell of your being,
Of your body.
You are complete.
You are guided.
You are supported.
Begin to bring your awareness back to the body.
Notice the support beneath you.
The sounds around you.
The rhythm of your own breath.
Take a deep,
Grounding breath in and a long,
Peaceful breath out.
Carry with you the clarity,
Release and renewal of this full moon.
Place your hands gently over your heart.
And offering gratitude for yourself,
For this practice and for the light of the moon that continues to guide you.
Whenever you feel you are ready,
Gently rub your palms over each other,
Generating good heat in your palms.
Slowly cup your eyes and then gently move your palms through your entire face.
Now slowly moving the palms away from the face,
Blink open your eyes,
Look into your palms and we release.
