In learning to witness, remember the ego will always be defensive, while the Soul has a peaceful neutrality.

Many of us learned defensiveness early, feeling that we can't trust others or even life itself. Our egos will keep trying to keep us inside the same old defensive playpen of our early conditioning.

Our true witness is our Soul, which dreamed us up and watches over us. And in the loving neutrality of its light, we might see our own selfishness and manipulations!

Listening to the Soul expands our wisdom, makes us wiser and even more intelligent as we draw on the immortal omniscience within us all.
