In this quick meditation, I guide you through a technique to help quiet that inner critic/ inner voice in times of stress, anxiety, or in any moment you feel overly critical of yourself. Through this technique, you will be able to locate and turn off the analyzer and carry on with a quieter mind throughout your day.

Close your eyes,

Take in a deep breath,

And connect with your body.

Bring your awareness to your brain.

Ask to be shown the analyzer.

Some sort of on-off mechanism appears in your imagination.

This could be a switch,

A toggle,

A handle,

Button,

Or lever.

It is currently in the on position and there is a soft glowing light around this mechanism.

Now imagine that you move the mechanism to the off position.

Press the button,

Flip the switch,

Turn the handle,

Or pull down the lever.

The light turns off to let you know that the analyzer is now off.

Take the mechanism off the wall and place it in the box that appears at your feet.

Lock the box.

Hide the box.

You might cover it,

Bury it,

Hide it behind a door.

Don't worry,

We are trained to use the analyzer.

It will come back on automatically whenever it is needed.

And with your intention,

Know that the analyzer is off and the inner voice in your head is now quiet.
