Welcome to a guided meditation with Rabbit.
Let's take a short journey to meet with Sister Rabbit,
Your guide into a fresh new beginning in the East.
Rabbit's invitation is to take you on an adventure into your inner creative fire.
She represents potency,
Friction,
Fertility,
And a hot burning fire.
She will lead you down into the earth,
Into the womb of creation,
To gather a message about what will sustain you.
Have your journal and a pen near you as well as a glass of water.
Do this meditation first thing in the morning if possible while you're still sleepy and the sun's still coming up.
You can do this guided meditation seated or lying down in journey pose if you like.
Lie on your back,
Palms facing up,
Head in alignment,
Or seated upright,
Legs folded,
And hands in receptive pose.
Begin by feeling your bones fully engaged with the earth.
With a deep breath and a relaxed straight spine,
Fill your belly with air.
Let the ocean breath rise and fall with the sound of the spring breeze flowing steadily in and out.
Keep this breath going in a slow rhythm.
Imagine that Rabbit has come to show herself to you on a walking path through a meadow.
See the shape of her and note her color and size.
Smell the sweet grasses that surround you in this beautiful green meadow and the quiet evening sun that is warming up your face.
Rabbit hops gently off the trail and looks back for you to follow.
How does she seem?
Cautious,
At ease.
Rabbit crouches near a large hole in the earth,
Inspecting the outside of it and looking over her shoulder to see if you're ready to enter.
When she crawls into the dark damp earth,
You follow.
There's plenty of room inside and the hole has opened up to a tunnel so that you can stand and walk.
There are roots coming out of the walls and tickling your hands as you pass.
It's becoming dark as the sunlit entrance disappears behind you.
Up ahead,
There's a slight illumination,
Just enough for you to see Rabbit's silhouette.
On and on the tunnel winds.
You're not far behind Rabbit when you round a corner and begin to smell wood smoke.
It is faint and the air is growing cooler.
You feel a chill on your arms and realize that you're outside.
You're not in the air as growing cooler.
You feel a chill on your arms and realize that you're outside under the new moon approaching a campfire.
There are a group of rabbits sitting around the fire and you join them sitting on a woven grass mat.
They're here to celebrate you,
Each other,
And the new journey that you're all beginning.
In the darkness of the new moon,
Dried herbs are placed into the fire as offerings.
Stories are shared,
Songs are sung,
Food and drink are passed around,
And hopes are discussed for you,
For the other gatherers around you,
And for the world.
You share your dream for what you would like to create.
The rabbits nod in silence and look up at the sky as sparks fly from the fire and swirl in the air.
You're spilling over from your time spent with the clan of jovial rabbits.
They point to the horizon and you can see that the sun will soon be up.
It is time to be on your way.
One of the rabbits has a pile of sticks and she lights the tip of each one in the fire and passes them out.
Each gatherer collects her belongings and begins to set out across the plane on her new journey.
You can hear the fire whispering and crackling messages,
Messages about creation.
Can you hear what the fire is saying to you?
What more will you need in order to take your creative journey?
What fears can you leave behind in the fire?
Can you leave all of them behind?
When you are ready,
Engage your trust,
Step foot onto the path,
And walk out toward the rising Sun.
Feel its warm power coming over your face,
Carrying you on the next leg of your adventure.
You're full to the brim on the generative power of the East and fully fed.
There is nothing you cannot do.
