Welcome to a guided meditation with Hawk.
I'm Pixie Light Horse and I'll lead you through this meditation today.
Let's take a short journey to meet with Hawk,
The soaring captain of the winged ones and higher-mindedness coach and cheerleader.
Like Hawk,
Our objective is to float weightlessly,
Fully held by spirit while allowing insights and interpretations of messages to flow through us.
Have your journal and a pen near you,
As well as a glass of water.
And do this meditation outdoors if at all possible.
You can do this meditation seated or lying down in journey pose if you like.
Lie on your back,
Palms facing up,
Head in alignment,
Or seated upright,
Legs folded,
Hands open in receptive pose.
Feel your bones fully engaged with the earth.
With a deep breath and a relaxed straight spine,
Fill your belly with air.
Let the sacred ocean breath rise and fall while you imagine the magnificent wind blowing across your body in and out.
In and out.
Continue this breath in a slow rhythm.
As your heartbeat begins to slow down,
Imagine that you're at the edge of a wildflower meadow.
The high noon breeze tickles your spirit and the whisper in the tall trees comforts any noise in your mind.
The flowers sway in colors of purple and gold and orange and red before you.
Follow your heart through the flowers,
Letting the breeze guide your forward movement,
Taking you toward the center of the meadow.
When you arrive,
Look up toward the sun and open your arms wide to its healing warmth.
Feel your skin take a long exhale as you expand your body in the comfort of a perfect day,
In the perfect temperature for you.
Imagine a beautiful bird drifting toward you in circles,
Flying around and around slowly with the breeze under its wings,
Practically carrying it to you like a soft and special delivery.
Notice the stripes under its feathers and the bright red-orange tail feathers fanned out.
Without speaking aloud,
Call Hawk gently to you.
You observe as it drifts down softly and lights on the ground near you and looks up at you.
Knowledge Hawk in your words and let it know why you are here in this meadow today.
Speak the words of what you are seeking insight for.
Notice Hawk's movements as it replies back to you.
It is now time to climb upon Hawk's back and spiral up in the column of air which allows it to float.
A clear and slightly visible channel of light is falling on the meadow.
Lift off with Hawk and head toward it.
Notice the sensation on your skin as you take flight.
As you reach the channel,
Fly into it and up with just a few flaps of Hawk's wings.
Rising up and up,
Notice the weightless feeling in your body.
The air currents are gently raising you and Hawk higher and higher off the ground,
Totally safe,
Totally held,
Totally supported.
Your head,
Your neck,
Your spine,
Your hands are soft and curious.
Your hips are soft and your feet are safely tucked around Hawk's middle.
Your body is awake and your senses tuned into each gentle turn.
Reaching a height,
You and Hawk are being carried forward.
The energy of the thermal currents are moving around the both of you and allowing you to drift gently.
What does it feel like to be moving without effort?
Imagine that the sacred intelligence of the heavens are entering your senses.
Vision yourself as a clear channel in which air and light can travel through you.
Are there other messengers up here who would like to be in communication with you?
Take a moment to reach toward them in communion.
Allow them to share their visions of healing with you.
You may now take a moment to reach toward them in communion.
Give thanks to these messengers and bid them farewell.
Continue soaring with Hawk until you feel complete.
And when you feel complete,
Descend from the heavens and come slowly back down the column you traveled up through to touch gently onto the ground.
Be sure to thank your guide and healer,
Hawk,
For taking you on this journey upward.
Say goodbye to Hawk in a sacred way and make your way back to the meadow.
Bow to the flowers and fill your lungs with the precious air of the east.
And softly begin to come back into your body,
Into ordinary reality.
Wiggle some fingers and toes.
Bring attention to your head by opening your eyes,
Moving your head back and forth,
Acknowledging your spine,
Your legs,
And your feet.
And when you feel ready,
You may now take a moment to reach toward them in communion.
