This 9-minute meditation connects you more deeply to your breath to relax the mind and body. If you are feeling disconnected, try this meditation and use the mantra, "I am connected." This practice allows you to form a link to your heart.

Transcript

So,

Again,

Come to a space where you can either sit or lie down quietly.

And today I invite you to place your hands over your heart space,

Your lung space,

As we transition with three collective breaths together.

So as you inhale,

Allow your hands to receive the breath.

And as you exhale,

Allow the body to receive the hands.

And as you inhale,

Allow breath to move into the hands.

And as you exhale,

Allow the body to receive the hands.

One more time,

Inhale into the hands.

And as you exhale,

Allow the body to receive the hands.

Just notice if there is a shift in energy here in this space.

You can allow the hands,

I like to think of them as the eyes and ears,

Of looking a little more closely inward into this heart space.

Maybe they can listen more closely to the heartbeat,

The breath as it flows in and out.

And we'll continue to breathe,

But just now shift your hands to the sides of your rib cage,

The sides of your body.

And we'll do these three cleansing breaths again,

But now into the hands and the sides of your ribs.

So as you inhale again,

Breathe into the hands,

The sides of the ribs.

And as you exhale,

Allow the body to receive the hands.

So it almost feels like breathing.

Your breath is an accordion expanding into the hands.

And as you exhale,

The hands drawing in closer to the body.

Once again,

Inhale and exhale.

Again,

Hear what has shifted.

What are these hands seeing or hearing in this space?

And then we'll do this with the hands on the back body,

So as high up as you can.

And if you're lying down on the ground,

Yeah,

You place your hands underneath the body between the body and the ground.

And here too,

Again,

As you inhale,

Breathe into the hands,

Let that accept the breath.

And as you exhale,

Allow the body to receive the hands.

Inhale into the hands.

Exhale allow the body to receive the hands.

One more time,

Inhale.

And exhale and again,

Notice if there is a shift in awareness of energy here.

The hands being in this new place,

Are they able to hear and see something new?

And then one last placement,

Place your hands right at the top of your shoulders and maybe the heels of the hands cup the collarbones,

The upper lungs.

And again,

As you inhale,

Breathe all the way up to the upper lungs into the hands.

And as you exhale,

Allow the body to receive the hands.

Inhale,

Fill up the upper lungs into your hands.

And exhale,

Let the hands soften into the body.

One more time,

Cleansing breath in.

Peaceful exhale,

Hands are receiving the body.

And again,

Notice here what has shifted.

Is there new information that the hands are seeing and hearing?

And now place your hands wherever you feel needs the most attention.

Maybe it's one of those places or maybe they're just simply on your lap.

You choose.

But now imagine all these sets of hands at the heart,

The sides of the ribs,

The back,

The shoulders,

Four sets of hands supporting you as you breathe into all four sets of hands,

All eight hands.

And as you exhale,

Allow yourself to receive the connection of these hands.

Breathing in,

Feeling the connection as you exhale out as if the hands were still there resting,

Connecting to your body.

And as you continue to breathe here now,

Just simply say the mantra,

I am,

As you inhale,

Connected as you exhale.

I am connected.

I am connected.

As you feel this connection,

It's simply the connection to breath,

Your life partner.

Breath is with you from the moment you enter this body to the very last moment it leaves this body.

How does it feel to be connected,

To be supported by breath?

I am connected.
