Phillis Morgan, J.D., ACC

Phillis is the Founder of Resilient At Work, a consultancy that helps organizations shift thinking and behaviors that contribute to bias, conflict, poor communication and rigidity. R@W builds aware, attuned, resilient leaders through evidence-based, workplace-centric programming with a mindfulness foundation. Phillis is a NATO Medal recipient, employment lawyer, executive coach, yoga and meditation teacher with more than three decades of experience in helping to build change all over the world, including Afghanistan, Uganda and Nepal. Phillis has studied yogic philosophy, Buddhist psychology and other Eastern spiritual traditions in Thailand (including World Buddhist University, Suan Mokh, Chomg Tong, Diphabhavan), India (including Root Institute, Pattabhi Jois Yoga Shala) and elsewhere. Having studied and learned contemplative practices with masters for years, she is honored to be able to bring this ancient wisdom to the aid of organizations to cultivate more self-aware, unbiased, resilient leaders and workers. Indeed, R@W is committed to working with organizations and individuals in ways that seek to shift thinking so that a process of integrated, sustained development can occur. A structured, change-making process for self-development is described in Resilient In Conflict: How Managers Use Mindfulness To Navigate Workplace Conflict With Courage, her newly-released, second book.
