Meditation for when your nervous system is revved up. When you need a few moments to reset and bring yourself back into alignment. This meditation is designed to bring your stress level back down into your normal range, elicit your parasympathetic nervous system and allow you to breathe freely. This is a short practice you can do anywhere, anytime. When you feel yourself experiencing intense emotions or amped up energy, take a few moments to recharge and get back to how you want to feel.

Let's take a moment just for you.

Stay as you are and lay down,

Get nice and comfy.

We'll just start to notice the body into our feeling body and out of the thinking body through sensation.

Allow your nervous system just to reset here as they just steal a few moments for yourself.

Breathe yourself full again.

Maybe you are overwhelmed,

Maybe it's a lot of energy,

A lot of chaos.

Whatever it is,

Just take a few moments to find stillness.

Recharge your batteries.

Come back to who you are.

Noticing any sensations around you,

Any noises,

Even if they're loud noises,

Even if you're in the midst of chaos.

You can still find stillness here.

Notice the temperature of the air on your skin,

Anything else in your particular environment.

You can close your eyes now.

Notice your breath.

And if your breath is rapid,

If you have constriction in your chest and your heart,

Maybe you can inhale fully and just get nice and big in the chest area.

Holding it at the top for just a moment and then exhale.

Just let it all go.

Let your shoulders fall a little closer to the earth.

Let any tension,

Anything that you're holding onto,

Just let it go.

Maybe another breath or two just like that,

Filling up.

Empty it out,

Let it go.

Any memories that are holding you back,

Any areas of your life where you feel the need to be perfect,

Let that go now.

Knowing that you are enough,

Everything that you're doing is enough.

You are worthy.

You are worthy of this life that you've been given.

You are worthy of whatever role that you're playing.

Letting go of any need to change anything.

Just as you are,

You are enough.

Leave yourself full again.

Know that you are loved,

You are held.

Go back into your day now with that remembrance of who you are.
