Hello and welcome.

This meditation is for grounding your energy.

When you have a lot of mind activity,

Thoughts,

Or feelings arising,

Begin by making yourself comfortable.

Any way in which you feel supported.

Start to tap into your breath.

Weaken your senses by getting curious.

Listen to any sounds that arise.

Bring your awareness to your chest now.

The ebb and flow of your breath.

Feel rise and fall of your sternum as you take in breath and let it go.

Allow yourself to get nice and heavy.

You can let go now.

You are fully supported by the surface beneath you.

The earth supports the building you're in and cradles you.

The sturdy body of the earth that is always here to hold you.

No need to hold yourself up now.

You can just allow yourself to sink down,

Soften through your body.

Take a deep breath in and let that go.

Allow tension to flow out with your breath.

Let's do that again.

Inhale nice and slow.

And as you exhale,

Let your exhalation lengthen even more so than your inhalation.

Just following the breath out.

One more conscious breath like that.

Following the breath in all the way in.

Exhale,

Let it go.

Follow the breath out.

Lengthen your breath.

I am aware of my in-breath.

I am aware of my out-breath.

Begin to soften your shoulders.

Soften your jaw.

Create space in between your teeth.

Allow all of the muscles in your face to relax.

All of the little muscles surrounding and supporting your eyes.

Gently allow your breath to continue to flow freely in and out of your body.

Let the breath nourish you.

The oceanic quality of your breath like the waves flowing in and flowing back out to sea.

Soothing and relaxing.

You can let go now.

Allow your entire body just to relax and soften.

Let the surface beneath you fully support you as you just let gravity take over.

Nice and heavy.

In this moment there is nothing to do.

Nowhere for you to be.

Just be held here.

As you take in breath notice all of the air around you.

The air that wraps you and sustains you.

Allow the air to envelop you as you rest here.

Letting your body breath itself full again.

You are nurtured by the elements surrounding you.

You can take comfort and stillness here.

Cultivating tranquility as you rest deeply here.

Feel into the areas of your body that are touching the surface beneath you.

So maybe your legs,

Your hips,

Possibly your back.

Anywhere you are being supported.

See if you can melt down and merge just a little deeper.

Truly letting this surface support you.

Just as you are.

Because if you have any tension in your body you can release that now.

Let that go.

Sink down in and soften through your shoulders,

Your chest,

Your heart,

Your abdomen,

Your hips.

Just let go.

Your legs getting nice and heavy.

Your feet can relax all of your toes.

Gently grounding your energy down,

That downward feeling.

As you take in breath,

This nourishing breath,

Let it nurture you.

Feeling all the way up,

And we'll start to just deepen the breath.

As we exhale just let the chest go,

Let the heart surrender,

Shoulders surrender,

Lengthening your breath.

And we'll start to find awareness back into the body.

So notice the sounds surrounding you,

Any sounds that arise.

Noticing any sensation in the body.

Find gentle movements here.

You can wiggle the fingers and the toes.

And if you'd like you can stay right here and continue the meditation.

Whenever you're ready you can come back into your space.

Thank you for practicing with me today.

Feel free to do this meditation as much as you'd like,

Whenever you need your energy to be grounded.

I'd love to hear from you.

Feel free to leave a comment below.

Wishing you peace,

Harmony and tranquility in your day and in your life.

Namaste.

I’ve had this in my meditation playlist but throughout time, as i’ve learned more in my meditation about how mindfulness and anchoring and self soothing feel for me, i think this has increased in efficacy and comfort given to me. Namaste 🙏❤️

Thank you. Been feeling anxious about my health lately and there were moments throughout the meditation I was able to let go and surrender. Really appreciated that and know that I can take pieces of this practice with me and us outside of the sitting meditation.
