Gratitude.

The dictionary defines gratitude as the quality of being thankful.

Appreciation.

Recognition.

Acknowledge.

Thanks.

Just as you practice meditation to strengthen,

Purify,

And de-stress,

You can practice gratitude to do the same thing.

The practice of bringing attention to the pleasures in your life and the people who make your life rich and full.

There are many ways to practice gratitude.

Journal.

Meditation.

A blessing.

A gratitude visit.

Today give yourself permission to meditate on gratitude.

What does gratitude mean to you?

What are you thankful for?

What does gratitude feel like physically in your body?

How does it live between yourself and the loved ones in your life?

How does it live between yourself and strangers?

What would it be like to live without being grateful?

A monk once said,

When we are good at being grateful,

We see and experience more of the good in life,

No matter life circumstances.

We learn to appreciate the rainbows and the storms in life.

And that makes us happier.

What would it be like to live without being grateful?

What does that word mean to you when you hear it?

To have gratitude.

To be thankful.

Can you place your hand on your body to connect with the space where you feel gratitude?

Maybe there's something you're grateful for right now in this moment.

And you can observe in your body where you notice it.

And the space in between my words,

Take a conscious breath in and a soft exhale out.

The root of joy is gratefulness.

It is not joy that makes us grateful.

It is gratitude that makes us joyful.

Take a few moments right now to list off three things that you're grateful for.

Big or small,

It doesn't matter.

Not what you think they should be.

This idea,

A perfect gratitude list.

Maybe it's how the socks feel on your feet today,

Or the warmth of water in your shower.

What are three things you are grateful for today?

The root of joy is gratefulness.

It is not joy that makes us grateful.

It is gratitude that makes us joyful.
