My Morning Prayer: A New Day Is Coming

Source of all beginnings.

You who move through seasons.

Through endings that soften into openings.

Made us here.

Meet us at this threshold where yesterday loosens its grip.

And tomorrow has not yet asked for a name.

We stand here with hearts shaped by experience.

Some of it beautiful.

Some of it heavy.

And still.

New life is calling.

Let us feel it without fear.

Let us trust that renewal does not require erasing the past,

Only releasing its hold.

There were ways we learned to survive.

Ways that once protected us.

Ways that no longer fit the shape of who we are becoming.

Help us bless those old ways.

Without carrying them forward.

Help us thank them.

And let them rest.

What was missed does not have to be mourned forever.

Teaches how to make peace with what did not happen.

So our hands are free to receive what still can.

There is a wind moving now.

Steady.

Let us welcome it.

Let us feel how the heart knows when space is being made.

How something long closed begins to soften.

If we have forgotten how to trust mornings,

Remind us.

Remind us that light does not ask permission to return.

That even after the longest winters,

Something in the world remembers how to bloom.

Wake us to the truth that life is not finished shaping us.
