I'm Pamela Puelsky,
And I'm a licensed clinical social worker and therapist.
We don't need to wait for someone to say the right thing to make us feel loved.
We have the power and creativity to do it ourselves.
This flower exercise is a quick way to give yourself the gift of love and support.
You've probably given flower bouquets to others as gifts.
And you might have added a little card that says congratulations or happy birthday.
We're going to give a bouquet of flowers with a special message to ourselves.
Let's begin by taking a deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
You can thank yourself.
For reserving this time to focus inward.
Imagine a beautiful bouquet of flowers that you've picked out for yourself.
Notice the colors,
The shapes.
The smell of your flowers.
Even how the petals feel on your nose as you smell them.
Notice a card on your bouquet.
You can write any message that you need to hear on this card.
Here are some examples.
I deserve the kindness.
That I am giving to myself.
I am learning to accept all of me.
I am evolving into the person that I want to become.
Or add any message you'd like to your card.
And attach it to your perfect bouquet.
Imagine bringing this bouquet and affirmations to your chest.
And allowing them to melt into your heart.
Like an emotional vitamin for your soul.
Take a deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Notice how that makes you feel.
Good job.
You can do this exercise anytime.
You need to feel uplifted in your day.
Thanks so much for joining me.
My name is Pamela Pileski.
Take care of yourself.
