Hello and welcome.
Today we're going to touch on guilt.
Take your time,
Pause the video if you need to or recording and get comfortable.
Become the witness.
Take a deep breath in here.
Wherever you are,
Open your mouth and exhale.
If you need a few more breaths like that,
Take your time and breathe.
Guilt,
Interesting emotion.
It often affects us more for what we didn't do than what we did.
Most of us who struggle with this emotion are not as guilty of something very terrible at all.
It's not a big deal to be guilty of something terrible.
Often people who do terrible things tend not to feel much remorse.
The fact that you feel terrible,
That you may have done wrong is a good sign in itself that shows you care.
However,
Guilt,
It asks us to look deep within at our behaviors,
Whatever we may be struggling with or feel bad about.
Also,
What we may have done in our lives that wasn't for our best interest or those around us.
Maybe we treated others unjustly,
Or we treated others unfairly.
Maybe we haven't apologized for something and we must be able to.
To correct our behavior,
We must own all that we do in life.
We must be able to correct our behavior and we must be able to.
Sometimes the feeling of guilt can be more general.
It doesn't always relate to something specific or some type of specific moment in our lives,
But we do need to look at it closely and think about why we feel the way we do.
What made us feel like we have not been our best or inconvenienced someone.
Guilt in most part is actually something that we have carried since childhood.
And then we utilize it by projecting it onto the circumstances in which we exist in today.
When we feel as though we are a burden or making those around us suffer.
I want you to take a deep breath in here.
Open your mouth and exhale.
As you listen,
I want you to take your time to think about your childhood and things that may have happened that may link into what is today you are feeling.
For some of us we were told not to be too loud or silly as children.
So whenever we do that,
Now we feel like we are burdening others.
It can be so simple.
For some of us we may have grown in a house that required certain rules or we followed certain religious beliefs that we no longer feel aligned to.
But changing our patterning and having the old beliefs also linked in can make us feel guilty like we are doing wrong.
I want you to take a deep breath in and inquire.
Require yourself to look at the good sign of itself that you care,
Love and compassion.
Let's take three cleansing breaths.
Inhale here.
Open your mouth and exhale.
Inhale.
Take three cleansing breaths.
Inhale here.
Open your mouth and exhale.
Inhale.
Open your mouth and exhale.
Inhale.
Open your mouth and exhale.
One more just like that.
We are at your own pace.
Inhale.
Open your mouth and exhale.
Inhale.
Open your mouth and exhale.
One more just like that.
We are at your own pace.
Inhale.
Open your mouth and exhale.
I invite you to stay here and I will see you tomorrow.
Namaste.
