You will understand that the hypnogogic state is key for smoothly slipping over into sleep consistently. We will explore the difference between Meditation which requires concentration and Yoga Nidra which requires relaxation and flow of awareness.

Experiencing The Hypnogogic State Deliberately
In this experiential lesson, we will begin with suggestions on how to set yourself up for Yoga Nidra including body posture and adaptions. You will then be guided through the first three stages of Yoga Nidra - a grounding for internalization, rotation of consciousness, and breath awareness as a way for you to begin learning how to recognize and intentionally spend time in the hypnogogic state.

Experiencing A Pre-Sleep Yoga Nidra
In this lesson, which expands on the previous one, you will be invited to experience a full pre-sleep Yoga Nidra which lengthens the time you spend in the hypnogogic state. It will include variations and additions to the main elements of Yoga Nidra which are useful for sleep. You will learn that using a Yoga Nidra like this at night, before you go to sleep gives your body, mind, and emotions time to release the accumulated stresses of your day.

From A Place Of Wisdom
In this lesson, you are invited to activate your innate inner wisdom beginning with a grounding meditation so that you can reflect with clarity and non-judgement on on your current sleep life. From a place of spaciousness and wisdom, you will discern if there are any small places of leverage within your circumstances, that might enable you to make changes that will support your nighttime Yoga Nidra practice and sleep.
