Introduction To Restorative Yoga And Why It Is Necessary In Today’s World
In Lesson 1 of “Calming Stress with Restorative Yoga”, we go through what Restorative Yoga is, and what makes it unique from other forms of yoga practices. We then follow with a short guided practice session, where you are invited to experience a short Restorative Yoga session in the comfort of your own home. It is recommended (but not mandatory) to have a mat space where you can lie down comfortably, and have with you props such as blankets, pillows, and yoga props.

A Brief Introduction And Guide On Restorative Yoga Postures
In Lesson 2 of “Calming Stress with Restorative Yoga”, we go through poses normally done in a Restorative Yoga class, what part of the body each pose targets, and how to set up the props. This is more of a hands-on lesson, so feel free to play around with any of the props you have around the house. We then follow with a short guided practice session, where you are invited to experience a short Restorative Yoga session in the comfort of your own home.

The Relaxation Response Vs Stress Response
In Lesson 3 of “Calming Stress with Restorative Yoga”, we look into the relaxation response versus the stress response and how to navigate between the two. For the theory portion, you’ll be invited to grab a piece of paper and a pen and journal about instances where you felt these two responses. We then follow with a short guided practice session, where you are invited to experience a short Restorative Yoga session in the comfort of your own home.

The Breath In Restorative Yoga
In Lesson 4 of “Calming Stress with Restorative Yoga”, we go through breathing techniques as well as understand a bit of breathing science. Knowing this helps to achieve the most optimal airflow as we cultivate the relaxation response. We then follow with a short guided practice session, where you are invited to experience a short Restorative Yoga session in the comfort of your own home.

Addressing Guilt When It Comes To Rest
In Lesson 5 of “Calming Stress with Restorative Yoga”, we go through society’s view on rest and what it can do to us when we soak in this underlying message. We address our relationship with rest, analyze the culture around rest, and reflect on how we can add more snippets of rest into our days. We then follow with a short guided practice session, where you are invited to experience a short Restorative Yoga session in the comfort of your own home.

Emotions, Spaciousness And The Never Ending Healing Journey
On Day 6 of “Calming Stress with Restorative Yoga”, we go through emotions that could arise while in a Restorative Yoga practice, the importance of spaciousness, and looking big picture in the never-ending healing journey. We then follow with a short guided practice session, where you are invited to experience a short Restorative Yoga session in the comfort of your own home.
