Wat je zal leren
In this course, you’ll learn about the energy of Autumn, from the nature-based Taoist perspective behind Yin Yoga and Qigong practices. You’ll discover a variety of practical tools here, including meridian stretches for the upper body, key acupressure points, easy Qigong movements, and more. Each lesson will introduce you to the themes of this season, as well as powerful-but-simple practices for healthy breathing, supporting the immune system, and releasing old energies and habits you no longer need. As the leaves begin to fall, the days grow shorter, and the harvest time starts to wane, we humans are invited to practice letting go, too. By turning our attention inward in this season, we discover a sense of quiet dignity in the midst of change. (Music Credit: "Almost in F" by Kevin MacLeod/Incompetech, under Standard License.)

Autumn Themes And Clearing Practices
In this lesson, I’ll give an overview of the Autumn season, its energies, and its lessons. In nature, Autumn is a time of winding down from the abundant sunshine, activity, and growth of summer. For humans, this can be a time of inward reflection and clearing away what is no longer needed. After the introduction, we put these themes into practice with two energy clearing exercises drawn from Qigong. (Music Credit: "Almost in F" by Kevin MacLeod/Incompetech, under Standard License.)

Lung And Large Intestine Meridians Plus Acupressure Points
In this session, we’ll take a closer look at the energetic pathways, or meridians, most closely connected to this Fall season. Both Yin Yoga and Qigong work by encouraging the Qi to flow along these meridian lines. Here you’ll learn 3 specific acupressure points that you can use to support balanced energy in this season. Meridian Stretch And Reflection Prompts On Letting Go
In this lesson, I’ll speak a bit more about the theme of letting go. I’ll also offer you a few prompts for reflection, journaling, or contemplating in your own way. We’ll begin with a simple meridian stretch to connect with the body and get our juices flowing for these reflections. Metal Element And Wild Goose Flying (Qigong Form)
In this lesson, we will take a closer look at the Metal Element, which refers to the treasures buried within the Earth – the veins of gold and precious gems, and the metals we use to build strong structures. On the human level, this symbolizes how we can find our own inner treasures when we look within. You'll also learn a Qigong form called "Wild Goose Flying," that embodies the spirit of Autumn and the Metal Element. Breath Meditation In A Yin Yoga Pose
This lesson will be like a guided meditation, within a Yin Yoga pose. Yin Yoga is a very gentle practice where we hold supported stretches for a few minutes at a time. While stimulating the Lung Meridian, we will practice softening around the energy of Metal Element, so that its quality of clarity is not too sharp, harsh, or abrasive. Further Exploration And Tips For Integration
In this last lesson, I will offer a few additional options for exploring Autumn energy in your daily life. And, looking back on the practices you’ve tried here, you can brainstorm ways to incorporate your favorites into your routine this season. I loved doing this course. It is full of easy tools and practices to let go of stress and everything that no longer serves us. I loved Addie's gentle and soothing voice guidance and suggestions for reflections. This course has an underlying autumn theme. However, I found the teachings, tools and reflections to be universal. And so I thoroughly...
