Just 4 minutes to come back to your body.
If your day feels busy,
Loud or slightly overwhelming right now,
This is your moment to slow down.
Wherever you are,
Let your body be exactly as it is.
If it feels okay,
Gently place both feet on the ground and notice the contact.
Notice that you are supported.
Let your gaze soften or close your eyes if that feels safe.
There's nothing you need to change,
Just become aware of what's here.
Now bring your attention to your breath.
No need to control it.
And then slowly begin to lengthen your exhale.
Maybe inhale to 4 and exhale for 6.
Longer exhale,
Soft jaw and let your tongue rest.
With every extended exhale,
You are signaling to your nervous system that there is no danger.
Stay with that for a few more breaths.
Place one hand on your chest and one on your lower belly.
Feel the warmth and the touch of your own hands.
You are not thinking your way back to calm.
You are allowing your body to guide you.
Notice even the smallest shift,
A little more weight whether you're seated or lying,
A little more breath,
A little more space.
You don't need to be perfectly calm.
Even a few percent more regulation is enough.
If your eyes were closed,
Gently open your eyes now and take in the space around you again.
And before you continue your day,
Remember,
Come back to your body.
