And it is my belief that if you're doing your soul's work and you're completing your soul's mission through your business,

That it gets to be really fun and easy.

The energy of soul or spirit is lightness,

Is playfulness,

Is child-likeness,

Is ease,

Is abundance,

Is prosperous.

So you know when your ego is coming into play when things get a little bit like,

How to get your ego supporting your soul's desires.

So as I was saying,

What I often see as the biggest block for soulful entrepreneurs,

Heart-led entrepreneurs to really be able to do business well,

Is that their ego gets in the way.

Okay.

So their ego says things like,

We shouldn't post that on social media,

We'll look stupid.

I'm not allowed to be your spiritual woo-woo because people will judge me.

I'm not allowed to price my offers the way that I want to price them because I'll look greedy.

I'm afraid of doing this new thing because I don't want to stuff up and look stupid.

I don't want to put all my money into that basket because what if I lose it all?

Oh my gosh.

Right.

So the ego brings a lot of baggage to the business space.

And I'm here to like,

Hopefully give you an insight of how we can then get our ego to actually support what we want to create in our businesses.

Right.

So have you ever,

The first question for you to consider is,

Have you ever been in the position where your ego has blocked you from doing something you truly desire to do?

Okay.

So the first tug was,

Maybe it was,

I'm going to take working with a coach because this is something that I've had,

Right?

I've had this big desire,

Like I had this big desire to work with coach and I was like,

Oh my gosh,

I really want to do that.

That's going to be amazing.

And then my ego jumps in and goes,

Uh,

You can't do that because you don't have the money and blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah,

Blah.

Now what I know to be true,

And actually this is a true story of mine.

At the time I didn't have the money.

However,

When I decided that my ego was not in control and my soul was,

And my soul was saying,

Do this,

Do this,

Do this,

Do this,

Everything fell into place.

And I was able to find that money to be able to invest in a coach that I really wanted to invest in.

Right.

So,

Um,

Maybe your thing isn't about a coach.

Maybe it's like,

I want to go post this amazing thing about this new modality that I'm doing or this modality that I've been doing,

But I don't want to,

I'm afraid because people will judge me.

Right.

So have you ever put up your hands and maybe just putting your hands up in the comments or you're putting it,

Putting them up energetically for me,

Put up your hand.

If you have ever had your ego block your soul's tug in business,

Yeah,

Your soul knows it wants to do something.

It wants to show up.

It wants to be there.

And then your ego goes,

No,

We can't.

It's a,

It's scary.

One of the things that I know to be true is that every time we follow a soul's tug and I know that you know this to be true too.

Actually,

Let me phrase it this way.

Now,

Have you ever followed a soul tug that has made zero sense?

Like logically,

It's just like,

That is crazy shit.

That is craziness.

And you went and did it anyway and it worked out way better than you thought it ever could.

Put up your hand now.

Have you ever done that?

Have you followed a soul tug and it took you on this amazing journey that was just like,

Holy crap balls,

I could never have logically thought about that happening.

There's hearts like just pouring out.

So,

I'm guessing that you,

I followed a soul tug.

I had the option as freelance at the time to either go into permanent job stability or great contract but not sure of time scale.

Now,

Permanently there and a director.

See how our ego presents us with really logical reasons of why we shouldn't follow a soul's tug.

However,

We deeply know and you have already experienced this before in your life and in your business,

When we follow a soul's tug,

It turns out far better than we ever could have imagined it.

Because our soul doesn't do logic.

It doesn't go,

Hey,

Nicola,

If you do this,

Then I'm going to give you this,

This,

This,

This,

This,

This,

This.

It's like when you jump in,

When you give me the faith and certainty and trust,

When you decide that I'm allowed to lead your life and you trust me to do that and you do that,

Then I'll show you the goodies.

The mind or the ego,

Because remember the mind is in the realm of the ego,

The mind or the ego wants to know what's at the other end when you make the decision.

So,

When your soul is going,

Let's do this thing,

That doesn't make,

I'm not going to tell you why you should do this thing or that it's a really great choice but you should go do this thing,

The ego goes,

Hang on a second,

I want to know what that will mean.

When you invest in that thing,

That new technology or that piece of software or that coach or that course or that program to make your business even more thriving,

I want to know it's going to work.

Can you guarantee that for me?

That's what the ego says.

And the soul's like,

There's no freaking guarantees but I know that when you do this thing,

It's going to turn out far better than you ever thought it would be.

Right?

Or,

And this is the catch with the soul,

Or it's going to teach you a very important lesson that you absolutely need to know in order for you to be able to evolve and grow and go into your next level.

So either way,

Your soul is like,

I am giving you these opportunities,

I'm giving you these tugs for you to grow,

For you to grow into your potential.

Exactly,

It's the soul's path courtier.

And so either way,

Whether it turns out great or it turns out a bit not great,

We know that the soul leads us in certain directions so that we are growing into our potential.

Because what the soul really wants for us is abundance,

Prosperity,

Awesomeness.

What our ego wants for us is same,

Same,

Same,

Same,

Same.

Even if that sameness,

Even if that familiarity,

Even if that trodden path that you know so well is really annoying to you,

You're like,

You know what,

I'm ready to thrive,

I'm ready to make a huge impact in the world and I'm being held back.

Even if you're there,

Your ego is like,

But we know this,

We know this place and it's kind of comfortable,

It's like an old pair of jeans that has far too many holes and you definitely need to chuck them out in the rubbish bin but you just can't part with them.

So how do we get our ego to support our soul's desires?

The first thing that I would recommend is start to listen deeply to what your soul's tugs are.

Yeah,

I love those jeans.

I know,

I know you love those jeans but guess what,

There's better jeans on the other side.

If you just got rid of those jeans,

You'd have more space for more awesome jeans.

Okay,

So all jokes aside,

How do you get your ego to support your soul's desires?

Start listening to those soul tugs,

Right,

For everything,

Okay,

For everything.

So every little business decision that you make,

Every little life decision that you make,

What is your soul asking you to do?

Okay,

This is the practice of getting really in tune with how your soul speaks to you.

So for me,

For me how my soul speaks to me,

It's a knowing.

It feels very open,

It feels like my heart opens like this and it's like,

Whoa,

Okay,

That's the direction I need to go,

Right.

When my ego gets involved with something,

It usually is really heady and I'm like,

And it's all logic.

There's just no,

It's not much feeling to it,

Right.

So how do you know,

So really this should be the first question,

How do you know when it is your soul speaking versus your ego speaking,

Okay.

And if you want to,

Write this down as a journaling question for yourself,

So go and explore this.

How do I know when it is my soul speaking and not my ego speaking?

And I see it for me,

If I feel like an open heart,

I feel it like literally as a physical feeling,

An open heart,

I feel relaxed and my mind is quiet,

Right.

My mind is just like,

Yes.

When it's an ego decision,

All I'm hearing are lots of thoughts like,

And I usually find,

My habit is I usually find my fists do this,

Right,

When I'm thinking,

Right.

Also comforted feeling.

Spiritually I guess I feel where it felt initially in the body,

Yes.

My soul is way more still and loving,

Yeah,

Ego is usually all about me,

I get a quiet,

Clear voice.

So start to understand the way that your soul communicates to you and when it is in a yes,

When it is giving you a soul tug,

Right.

And now I want you to take this out into the real world,

Like into everything that you do,

So then you can start to be guided by your soul.

So start with things that are not very important to you,

Okay,

That are not life or death decisions,

Right,

Are not like pinging on your money things,

Like a lot of people have money issues around spending and spiritual businesses,

Right.

So a lot of people have a hard time following their soul when it comes to investing in something.

So don't go there to start with.

Go somewhere where it won't matter what the decision really ends up being,

Okay.

So when you start to follow your soul's tugs,

You might want to be like,

Okay,

Today am I going to have tea or coffee?

Which one would work out better for me today,

Right?

Which one should I have?

And just see,

Tea,

Is it tea or is it coffee?

Right,

Is it tea,

Is it coffee?

Okay,

So start with things that really don't matter,

Right.

So if you accidentally had the coffee and you were meant to have the tea,

You're not going to die,

You're not going to have wasted a bunch of money,

You know,

All that sort of stuff.

Just start with the very little things.

When it comes to things like business,

Again,

Start with something little.

Okay,

Should I post in this group?

Should I post this post in this group or should I post this version of the post,

Okay?

Version A or version B,

Which one should I do?

Okay,

Version B,

Let's do that one,

Right.

Should I contact this person or should I not contact that person,

Okay?

Should I contact that person or should I not contact that person,

Which one should I do,

Right?

You're seeing how we're just starting to get to understand how our soul really speaks and getting it to speak really clearly to us.

Now,

Your job is,

When your soul tells you something,

You go and do that thing.

Don't ask it to give you a clear answer and then go,

Actually,

I'm not just going to,

I'm not going to do what you told me,

I'm going to go do the other thing,

Right?

Because what is happening there is you are reaffirming that the ego is in control and we are really talking about getting your ego in its proper place,

Which is in support,

In the supportive role of what your soul desires for you,

Yeah?

That is the proper place of the ego,

Is to,

A healthy ego is to support what your soul desires for you to create in the world,

Right?

And where people get tripped up is their ego is leading,

Trying to lead the soul,

Okay?

Basically just blocking the soul.

It's just like,

No,

No,

No,

You don't know what you're talking about,

We need it all to be logical and we're just going to follow,

I'm going to be the leader,

Right?

This is where you step into the realm of limitations and blocks.

This is where you stunt your growth.

This is where you move really slowly in business,

Okay?

And I'm saying this with lots of love because I've been there,

Right?

Where it's like,

I'm just making inches of movement every single year,

Right?

This happens when we follow the ego because remember the ego can only go as far as it logically can go and often it is filled with limitations and fears.

But when you get used to putting the ego aside and following the soul and letting the soul be in the leading role of all of your decision makings,

Even if it sounds freaking crazy,

What starts to happen is you start to create leaps and bounds for yourself in business and some people call these quantum leaps.

Because the soul doesn't do logic,

The soul is like,

Oh I see where we need to go now,

Go,

Jump.

So the first thing for you to do is get so comfortable with listening to how the soul speaks to you and then doing what the soul tells you to do,

Right?

If it says coffee today,

Have the coffee.

If it says tea,

Don't override it and go,

But I really want the coffee.

No,

No,

No,

No,

That's your ego.

Have the tea,

Okay?

Can you do that for me?

Let me know,

Are you able to just do it on the small things,

Right?

What this is doing is we are setting the foundation of us saying yes to the soul,

Right?

I trust you soul,

I trust you to take me in a direction that is of my utmost benefit,

Yeah?

I trust you to take me in the direction where I can have my highest growth and where my highest potential can be unleashed,

Right?

And then as you get used to listening to your soul tugs and it's really easy,

It's like,

Do I need this or this?

And it's like that one,

Okay,

Cool.

When it gets to that,

That's when you can start asking your soul for the bigger things.

Yeah,

Sophie,

Yes to the small and medium things,

Sometimes for the bigger things,

Yeah.

So the bigger things are things that,

You know,

Will have a ramification and they're usually the ones when,

This is usually,

The bigger things are usually when your ego wants to get really involved in it,

Okay?

So for example,

The first example I gave you at the start was when I was going to make a huge investment with a coach that I really wanted to work with.

It was a a $25,

000 investment,

Yeah?

So at the time for me that was a huge investment and I was like,

Oh my gosh,

How am I going to do this?

This is like,

And of course my soul was like,

This is absolutely the right step for you,

You should absolutely do this,

Right?

Calm,

Clear,

Collected,

Open heart,

No thinking,

Just awesome.

And then my ego jumps in and is like,

How?

How are we going to do this?

This is so irresponsible,

Blah blah blah,

And all the thoughts came in,

Right?

So consequently that decision took me about two weeks to make.

Usually I'm a very quick decision maker,

Right?

So when it comes to the bigger things and especially around money,

Investment,

Yeah,

We tend to activate,

Or should I say,

The ego tends to get triggered even more.

And so it will speak to you really bloody loudly.

Has anyone experienced that before?

Put your hands up,

You can put them up even if I can't see you.

You can pop it into the,

Yes Michelle,

Me!

That has happened to me.

Michelle,

You're in good company.

It has happened to me too!

So in the bigger decisions,

Yes,

The bigger decisions,

Your ego is going to speak even louder,

Right?

It is going to throw you all sorts of evidence why you shouldn't do the thing,

Or why it will show you all sorts of proof why you shouldn't do the thing.

It will try to logic its way out of a soul decision,

Right?

That's irresponsible,

That just can't be done.

We don't even know what's going to happen.

What if you make the wrong decision and you totally stuff up?

Blah blah blah,

What if people judge you?

Oh my gosh,

You're going to fail!

The barrage of thought will come in thick and fast.

Violet has had this,

Yes.

So this is why we start to train ourselves to listen to the soul in the things that don't really matter.

The cup of tea,

The cup of coffee,

The version A of our Facebook post or version B of our Facebook post,

Right?

It's things that just,

It wouldn't really matter whether you made the wrong decision or not.

And then as we get more comfortable to hearing the soul,

We can start to trust the soul,

Right?

And the more that we go and follow the soul,

The more that we feel comfortable in that space.

And then as we get to the bigger decisions,

We start to really be able to see the divide,

Not the divide,

The difference between our soul speaking and our ego speaking.

Because so what if fear is blocking that?

Blocking what?

Blocking you knowing what you need to do,

Because if you feel there is fear involved in a decision,

It usually,

Not always,

But it usually is the opposite thing that you need to be doing.

So if fear is blocking your ability to know whether it is soul or ego speaking,

It's usually,

Because fear only comes from the ego,

It usually is the opposite of what you need to do.

Does that make sense,

Yeah.

If fear is present in your decision making,

You usually know,

Usually,

And this is where,

So Claudia,

Just for example,

If you had a,

It does make sense to you,

Not so much.

Let me explain this.

If fear is blocking you from knowing whether it is a soul tug or a ego tug,

Right,

Fear always shows up from the ego.

Fear does not exist in soul,

Because soul knows everything is working out.

Yeah,

Soul knows not only everything is working out,

Everything has worked out for you,

Right,

So there is no need for fear.

Fear does not exist in that realm,

Right,

So if fear is blocking you from making a decision or knowing what that decision or feeling the soul tug,

You know the ego is already latched on board,

Right,

It's already in place,

Right,

So if fear was,

The question could be,

For you to move past that,

Could be,

If fear wasn't involved here,

What would my decision be?

If I did not fear anything,

What would my decision be?

Yeah,

So if fear says yes,

It's probably no,

And vice versa,

Usually,

So your first task is to get in the know with how your soul speaks to you,

Okay,

How does it speak to you,

And the way that you start to do that is you do it on the little things that don't matter so much,

The cup of tea or the coffee,

Yeah,

Instagram post or Facebook post,

Like the things that really don't matter,

And then you start to bring your soul into the place of the bigger decisions,

And often for spiritual entrepreneurs,

The bigger decisions involve money,

Yeah,

Yeah.

I feel like fear is preventing me from acknowledging what is the soul tug.

Okay,

Well,

You know that,

So the first thing here is that you know that fear is in the way,

And rather than,

And I'm really,

I'm very nitpicky with my clients about how they word things,

So I'm going to be nitpicky with you,

Claudia,

Instead of saying I feel like fear is preventing me from acknowledging what it is,

I'd say I feel like fear is showing me that my ego is blocking my soul tugs,

Right,

And then you can go,

Is that true or not,

Right,

And you are the only one who can answer that.

Yes,

Kelvin,

Brave,

Yep,

You do,

You need to be incredibly brave,

And I love that you've brought that up,

Kelvin,

Because following your soul's tugs,

Everyone wants to do this,

Right,

I have not met a soulful entrepreneur who said I don't want to follow my soul,

I just want to follow my ego,

I've never met anyone like that,

However,

When it comes down to it,

You need to be so fucking brave,

So freaking courageous to be able to follow your soul's desires,

Each and every single one,

Right,

Because often it is taking you in a direction that you have no idea what the hell it is doing,

And there has to be like a certain amount of trust and faith that everything's going to work out for you,

Everything is working out for the better for you,

Right,

So you do have to be brave,

You have to be really courageous,

And this is where,

It's really interesting,

Because then I know that the next thing will be like,

Well,

How do I get courageous and brave?

How you get courageous and brave is you keep bloody doing it,

It's in the action of us doing it that we build the muscle of courage and bravery,

Because courage and bravery can only exist when fear is present,

Right,

You wouldn't have to be brave,

You wouldn't have to have courage if fear was not present,

Right,

So it's not in the absence of fear that you're going to become more courageous and brave,

It's in the presence of fear that you then get to be courageous and brave,

And how do you do that more and more is that you keep following the soul's tugs,

Even when the fear is there,

Yeah,

Scary and brilliant Sophie says,

You fight your fear when you come brave,

Yes,

Brave and strong,

Exactly,

Well,

It's been a while,

It has been,

Oh,

I'm stoked for you,

Talk about courage,

So is this making all sense for you?

So how to get your ego supporting your soul's desires,

First understand how your soul tells you that this is the path,

Yeah,

So listen carefully,

Start playing with those tiny little decisions and then start bringing them into the big decisions and your job here is to jump in to the space of courage and bravery,

As Kelvin put it,

When your soul is telling you something and your ego is shaking in its boots and going,

No,

Please don't do that,

Please,

Please,

Please,

Please don't do that,

That doesn't make sense,

And your soul is like,

Come here,

Come on,

Take the leap,

You can do it,

Right,

And every time you do that,

The bigger the leaps you are able to make,

Right,

It's like when I went through a phase of when I was younger,

Of jumping off cliffs like into water,

Right,

And at the start,

I'm very afraid of heights,

Let's just make that clear,

I'm afraid of heights,

But I knew that if the only way to get over my fear of heights was to be in situations where heights was a thing,

Right,

So every summer I would try to figure out like somewhere I could jump off and the way that I started was first I jumped off the littler ledge,

Right,

So there's three ledges on the cliff face to jump into the water,

I'd start at the littler ledge,

Right,

And that would be like the first bit of fear,

I'd be like,

Oh my gosh,

I'm gonna die,

Jump off anyway,

I jump off anyway,

All I have to do is move,

Right,

And then when I got used to the littler platform,

It's like,

Okay,

Now we need to move up the cliff and go to the higher one,

Right,

And you just keep practicing going at that pace,

Okay,

Can I jump into that,

Yes,

I can do it,

Yes,

I can do it,

Yes,

I'm not dying,

Okay,

Great,

I can do this,

I can do this,

It's fun,

It's fun,

Okay,

To the point it gets to fun,

Then you're like,

Okay,

Now there's another level,

Right,

Go to the next level,

The next height of that big decision,

Right,

And you then,

You muster up your courage and bravery and you take the leap and you jump again,

Right,

And you keep jumping,

You keep jumping,

You keep jumping,

Keep jumping,

And you start being able to take bigger and bigger jumps,

Bigger and bigger jumps,

Bigger and bigger jumps,

Right,

So the,

It's like a compound effect of jumping and following your soul on bigger and bigger things is that eventually you get to start leaping bigger and bigger,

Right,

Does this make sense to you,

Let me know,

And actually that analogy of me jumping off cliffs and going,

You know,

Higher and higher and higher and getting over my fear of heights,

To some extent,

Like I still have an innate fear of it,

Like when I do it now,

But now I know I can do it,

It's fine,

It really reminds me of the law of action,

Right,

So this might be helpful for you as well,

When you're talking about how to sort of move over the fear,

Yes,

You need courage and bravery,

But you also just need to do it,

Right,

Now the law of action says this,

Your body is capable of taking an action no matter what your mind is thinking,

Your ego,

Yeah,

So in a business context,

Say you were afraid of posting something on social media because you're like,

Oh my gosh,

Everyone's going to judge me,

This is crazy,

But my soul's telling me I need to express this thing,

Yeah,

Your body is capable of typing and going,

Enter,

Post,

Right,

Your body is capable of doing that despite what your head is saying to you,

So the law of action comes into play here as well,

Which is,

Although I'm feeling fearful,

I can still do the thing,

I can still take the action towards that thing,

Yeah,

And every time that you take that action,

Despite the fear,

You step into and cultivate more courage and bravery,

And the easier it becomes,

And then the easier that becomes,

The bigger leaps you are able to take,

Yeah,

The bigger and bigger leaps you're able to take,

Because what's happening is you're getting used to it,

And your ego's starting to go,

Oh,

Actually,

That wasn't too bad,

That didn't turn out too badly,

So I'm kind of trusting you a little bit more in this fear thing,

Let us jump into the last part,

Which is a little energy integration,

Oh,

Actually it's going to be,

It's going to be a really practical meditation to have you decide on something right now,

So first things first,

Bring to mind a decision that you need to make in your business,

And I would love for you to bring in anything small or big that has been on your mind,

And bring this clearly as a question into your mind,

Okay,

So what is the decision that you need to make in your business right now,

That perhaps you've been pondering over a bit too long,

And we are going to ask Sol to give us a clear answer,

A yes or no to this question,

So if you can,

Please phrase it in a way where you can receive a yes or no,

Okay,

And I'll just give you a moment to form that question,

If it feels safe for you to do so,

If it is safe for you to do so,

Close your eyes down and form this question in your third eye,

And start to breathe into this question,

So you don't need to repeat the question,

You just need to say it once,

And I'd love for you to start breathing deeply and breathing life into this question that resides in your third eye,

And as you start to breathe,

We bring all of your attention and energy to this moment now,

With this question in mind,

And I want you to deliberately slow your breath down,

Deep,

Long and slow,

And bringing all of your attention to the breath,

Following the pathway in,

And following the out breath,

All the way out,

Slowing the breath,

Slowing the mind,

And we're going to allow your question just to reside for a moment,

Just to take a rest for a second,

And we're going to firstly play with getting a yes or no from the soul,

And I just want you to ask in your third eye,

Soul,

Show me what a yes looks like for me,

And continue with slow deep breaths,

And as you're doing this,

I want you to ask,

With slow deep breaths,

And notice the resonance of yes,

And how that feels in your body,

Maybe some of you feel an open heart,

Relaxation,

A stillness,

Openness,

Notice what a yes feels like in your mind,

Some of you may notice open space,

Very little chatter if at all,

Clarity,

Openness,

And openness,

Notice what a yes feels like in your energetic field,

So coming out within the body and out of the body,

And some of you may see this as a stable light,

A clear field,

Stillness,

Stability,

Expansion,

And again,

Take a tour around your body,

And notice what a yes looks like in the body,

In the mind,

And in your energy,

From soul,

This is what yes is from soul,

And again,

Take a tour around your body,

Check out what no looks like in your body,

Some of you may notice tension,

The heart closing up,

The want to breathe shallower,

Maybe sweaty palms or clenched fists,

Stiff shoulders,

Wrinkled forehead,

Notice what no looks like in your mind,

Maybe it literally looks like a dark block,

Or darkness,

Or heaviness,

Like there's no clarity,

Density,

And then coming out to your energetic field,

Noticing what no looks like,

What a no from soul looks like,

Perhaps it's a feeling of just being stopped,

Some of you may literally feel that,

Just being stopped,

Some of you may literally feel it like a hand on the chest,

Or a tugging at your back,

Some of you may view it as just being still,

But still in a stopped way,

And some of you may view it as a road,

A literal block in the road,

That is turning you to a different path,

What do you notice?

This is a no from your soul.

All right,

So we leave this one alone for the moment,

Come back to bringing all your attention back to your long,

Slow,

Deep breaths,

As we come back to a neutral space for us to ask our question about our business,

A decision that needs to be made,

And it needs to be made from soul.

So now form this question again,

Ask it nice and clearly,

Soul is this a yes or a no,

Should I do this thing or not?

And notice your body,

The signs from your body,

Notice the signs from your mind,

And notice the signs from your energetic field,

Was this a yes,

Or was this a no?

And taking one last nice deep breath,

Breathing out,

And coming back to this space.

Now we don't want to spend too much time mulling,

We want to take the first hint that we got,

A yes or a no,

And the reason why is because the more time that we spend there,

Especially and the reason why is because the more time that we spend there,

Especially if it's a big decision,

Is that our ego will want to latch on and get involved.

So did you get a clear yes or no?

And if you didn't,

It's okay,

You can just do this again.

So it takes time to practice and to know the soul's tug,

Especially if you came in with a very big decision,

So be patient.

Maybe you want to spend more time with the deep slow breaths because this allows your mind to stop and your ego to step more out of the way for you to get a clearer sign.

So I hope this was helpful for you,

I hope that it allowed you to have your next steps in your business,
