Hello and welcome.
I invite you to settle into a comfortable position.
Allow your shoulders to drop,
Your breath to deepen,
To take a slow inhale through the nose and exhale fully out the mouth.
In this quiet space we enter a prayer of gratitude and connection.
We join our hearts with all of creation and with the source of life.
Creator and Redeemer,
As we open in prayer help us walk in beauty and balance.
Open our hearts and minds to the truth.
We hold in our hearts our communities,
Our loved ones,
And all who guide and teach us.
We hold all life,
The circle of creation.
And in this stillness we lift our prayer in peace.
We call upon the earth,
Our mother,
Our home.
We feel her depths,
Her soaring heights,
Her deep waters,
Her abundant life.
Earth and home,
Teach us and show us the way.
We call upon the mountains and tundra,
The high green valleys and wild prairies.
The snows,
The summits,
The intense and sacred silence.
Mountains and tundra,
Teach us and show us the way.
We call upon the land that nourishes us,
The soil that grows our food,
The fertile fields and abundant orchards.
Fields and gardens,
Teach us and show us the way.
We call upon the forests,
The great trees reaching to the sky.
Their roots in the earth and their branches in the heavens.
The fir and pine,
The cedar and maple.
Deer forests,
Teach us and show us the way.
We call upon the creatures of the fields and forests,
And of the life of the waters.
Our brothers and sisters,
The wolves and deer,
The eagle and bear,
The great whales and the fish.
Creatures of land and water,
Teach us and show us the way.
We call upon all those who have walked this earth before us.
Our ancestors,
Our friends,
Those who dreamed for future generations and on whose lives our lives are built.
Ancestors and friends,
Teach us and show us the way.
Creator,
You made the world and declared it to be good.
The beauty of the trees,
The softness of the air,
The rhythm of the waters,
The faintness of the stars,
The freshness of the morning.
All creation speaks to us and above all our hearts soar.
For you speak to us in the quiet,
In the life of Christ,
The one who is peace.
Amen.
And now may the peace of God be with you.
Feel that peace within your heart.
Allow it to settle in your body.
And then imagine it expanding outward to your home,
To your community,
The whole world.
Go in peace and walk in beauty.
Your friend,
Nicholas.
Thank you.
