Artist Prayer

This prayer is for every artist and creative person to build a deep connection with the Creator. It can be used as a daily centering and re-dedication practice. Much gratitude to The Artist Way by Julia Cameron, which inspired this prayer.

Artist prayer.

Creator,

All that heals and becomes through light,

Sound,

And intuition.

I seek your guidance and nurturance as I walk this journey towards wholeness.

Creator of life,

Beauty,

All that is seen and unseen,

Felt,

Imagined,

And manifest.

I light my way as you breathe life into me.

Allow me to breathe out my destiny.

Make manifest art and truth and word and deed.

From emptiness,

Life.

From fear,

Surrender.

From darkness,

Light.

With you all as possible.

Sharpen my focus.

Clarify my vision.

Eradicate self-doubt and denial.

Strengthen my voice to speak truth.

Fire my courage to walk boldly in the light of my knowing.

For all knowing comes from the source of all creation.

I surrender all doubts and self-loathing to you.

Let them burn on a pyre of liberation.

My spirit is with you.

My consciousness is one with all.

And stillness speaks eternity.

Creator,

Hear this prayer.

To you I dedicate my work.

I create in your image and to carry the story ever forward in time.

With the protection of my ancestors who whisper wisdom forgotten.

I dedicate my journey and practice to that which brings liberation.

Breath,

Word,

Stillness and delight.

Eternal Mother,
