Welcome to this brief but powerful guided meditation for happiness.
Take a slow breath in and exhale gently.
Again,
Inhale deeply and release slowly.
Let your breath settle into a natural rhythm,
Nothing to control,
Nothing to force,
Just breathing.
Happiness doesn't need to be forced.
It doesn't need to be intense.
It doesn't need to be constant.
It can begin as something small,
A quiet sense of ease,
A moment of calm,
A subtle feeling of lightness.
Let that be enough.
Now bring your attention to your body.
Notice how you are sitting or lying.
Notice the weight of your body,
The points of contact,
The areas that feel relaxed,
And the areas that feel tense.
Without judgment,
Just noticing.
If there is tension,
See if you can gently soften around it,
Not forcing it away,
Just allowing a little more space,
A little more ease.
Say quietly,
I allow moments of ease.
I don't need to force joy.
I can let it come naturally.
Let those words settle.
Happiness often shows up quietly in small moments,
In simple experiences,
In things we might normally overlook.
Now think of something simple,
A small moment that felt good.
It could be something from today or yesterday or even further back.
It doesn't have to be significant,
Just something real,
A moment of comfort,
A moment of quiet,
A moment where things felt okay.
Let that memory come forward and stay with it gently.
Now notice how your body responds.
You might feel a small shift,
A slight lift,
A softening somewhere inside.
Even if it's very subtle,
Even if it's barely noticeable,
That is enough.
You don't need more than that.
Happiness grows from small moments,
Not from forcing large ones.
It builds gradually through awareness,
Through allowing.
Now bring your attention back to your breath.
Inhale slowly and exhale gently.
With each inhale,
Invite a little more openness.
With each exhale,
Release any pressure to feel a certain way.
Let that sense of ease expand just slightly.
No need to make it bigger than it is,
Just allowing it to be there.
Say quietly,
I make space for lightness.
I allow myself to feel good.
I am open to positive moments.
Let those words settle into your awareness.
Stay here with this openness,
Even if it is subtle,
Even if it is quiet.
This is how it begins,
Not all at once,
But gradually,
Moment by moment.
Stay present with that.
If your mind drifts,
Gently return to the breath,
Return to the body,
Return to this small sense of ease.
There is nothing else you need to do,
Just be here.
And as we begin to close,
Bring awareness back to your breath.
Notice the inhale and the exhale.
Feel your body supported.
Feel the space around you.
And remember,
You can return to this whenever you need.
Each time you do,
It becomes easier to access this feeling,
Easier to notice the small moments,
Easier to allow happiness to arise naturally.
Carry this lightness with you.
Let it move with you through your day in simple ways,
In quiet moments,
In small shifts.
Thank you.
It has been a pleasure practicing together.
Be well and move with peace in every step.
