When was the last time you gave yourself the same tenderness you so freely give to others?
Not because you accomplished something,
Not because you checked everything off your list,
Not because someone affirmed you,
But simply because you are you.
There are so many ways we can become disconnected from ourselves.
We can become busy caring for others,
Meeting expectations,
Navigating change,
Or simply trying to keep moving forward.
And sometimes,
Without realizing it,
We stop asking ourselves.
How am I?
What do I need?
What would it feel like to simply be with myself right now?
This practice is an invitation to come home to yourself.
Not to a better version of you.
Not to a healed version of you.
Not to the person you think you should be,
But to who you are in this moment.
Allow yourself to become aware of the space you're in.
Feel whatever is supporting your body beneath you.
And instead of trying to immediately relax or change anything.
Simply notice yourself.
Notice what you brought into this moment.
Maybe there's peace here.
Maybe there is exhaustion.
Maybe there's joy?
Maybe there is uncertainty.
Maybe there is something you can't quite name.
Whatever is here.
You don't have to push it away.
Let yourself be here too.
Now gently bring your attention inward if it feels comfortable.
Place your hand over your heart Feel the warmth of your own touch.
And allow these words to rise quietly within you.
I am here.
I am listening.
I am willing to meet myself with love.
Perhaps self-love doesn't always look like confidence.
Maybe it doesn't mean loving every part of yourself every moment of every day.
Sometimes self-love is simply choosing not to abandon yourself,
Choosing to stay,
Choosing to listen.
Choosing to offer yourself compassion when you would normally offer criticism.
You don't have to earn your own tenderness.
You do not have to prove that you deserve kindness,
Rest,
Care,
Or love.
And you do not have to have everything figured out before you can begin loving the person you are right now.
I'm going to offer you a few affirmations.
There's no pressure to force yourself to believe every word.
Simply notice what each affirmation brings up within you.
And if the words feel right.
Repeat them silently or aloud.
I am worthy of love.
I am worthy of my own love.
I give myself permission to be exactly where I am.
I do not have to prove my worth.
I can meet myself with compassion.
I honor the person I have been.
I honor the person I am today.
I welcome the person I am becoming.
Now notice if there's a part of you that struggles to receive those words.
You don't have to silence that part.
You don't have to judge it.
Simply meet it with curiosity.
Perhaps that part of you has spent years believing that love had to be earned,
That worth had to be proven.
That you had to become something more before you could finally feel enough.
Offer that part of yourself something different today.
Quietly say.
You don't have to work so hard for my love anymore.
Let those words settle.
And when you're ready,
Continue.
I am enough in this moment.
Not because of what I accomplish,
Not because of what I give,
Not because of how others see me.
My worth is not something I have to earn.
Notice what is happening within you.
You may feel warmth,
You may feel resistance,
You may feel emotion,
Or you may not feel anything in particular.
All of it is welcome.
Self-love does not require you to manufacture a feeling.
Sometimes self-love begins simply with the decision to remain present with yourself.
To stay,
To listen,
To become curious about who you are beneath all the expectations.
You are allowed to know yourself again.
You are allowed to discover new parts of yourself.
You are allowed to change.
You are allowed to outgrow.
Old versions of yourself.
And you are allowed to love yourself throughout the process.
Before we close,
Return your attention to the hand resting over your heart.
Feel your own presence and repeat after me.
I choose to meet myself with love.
I choose to speak to myself with kindness.
I choose to honor what I need.
I choose to trust who I am becoming.
I am worthy.
I am enough.
I am coming home to myself.
Take a moment before moving on.
There's nowhere you need to rush to from here.
Simply notice yourself.
And carry this reminder with you.
Coming home to yourself is not something you do once.
It happens in small moments.
In the way you speak to yourself.
And the boundaries you honor.
And the rest you allow.
And the grace you give yourself when life feels messy.
And every time you choose not to abandon yourself.
You are practicing self-love.
You can return to yourself again and again.
And you are always welcome here.
