Welcome.
My name is Natalie and I am so happy you are here with me to take this time for yourself.
This is a soft reset for an overwhelmed mind.
So find a comfortable position,
Whether you are sitting,
Lying down.
And close your eyes.
Take a breath in.
And slowly breathe out.
If your mind feels busy right now,
That's okay.
We are not going to force it to become quiet.
You're simply going to give it somewhere else to rest.
So notice three things that you can feel in your body.
Perhaps you feel your feet against the floor.
Your hands resting.
Your back against the chair.
Now notice the temperature of the air against your skin.
Now notice your breath.
And notice the sounds around you.
And the air sounds.
Far away sounds.
Sounds you don't need to do anything about.
You are here.
Not in the next hour.
Not in tomorrow.
Not in the conversations you keep replaying.
You are here.
Bring your attention to your breathing.
And imagine each exhale creating a little bit more space around your thoughts.
You don't have to push them away.
Let them move through.
Now imagine your thoughts as clouds.
Some move quickly.
Some more slowly.
Some become very dark and heavy.
But none of them need to stay forever.
You can notice a thought without following it.
You can have a thought without believing you need to act on it.
You can feel something without needing to immediately understand it.
Take a deeper breath.
And exhale slowly.
Now silently repeat,
I don't need to figure everything out right now.
My mind can rest.
I can return to this moment.
And let your body become heavier.
Let your breath become softer.
And imagine there is a little more space between you and everything happening inside your mind.
You are not your thoughts.
You are the one noticing them.
And stay here for a few breaths.
And slowly begin to return.
Feel your body.
Feel the surface beneath you.
Move your fingers.
Move your toes.
Take one final deep breath.
And exhale.
And gently open your eyes when you are ready.
You haven't needed to solve anything.
You simply gave your mind somewhere safe to rest.
Whenever you need a break,
Just come back to this practice.
And may it always find you when you need it the most.
Until the next time,
Namaste.
