When I lose myself.
There is always a place.
Where I can look.
Find myself back again.
This is the place shaped by my practice.
Corner in my home.
With a carpet and a yoga mat and soft pillows and candles,
A journal and a few other tokens of my spiritual and mindful commitment to myself.
Traces of me.
And when I do my practice.
.
.
I share my energy with this space.
And my energy stays there.
So whenever I feel lost in the world,
When I feel as if the ground was falling from underneath my feet,
Slipping away,
And the sky was collapsing upon my head or any other feeling of anxiousness or anger or being oppressed.
Or suppressing myself.
Or a feeling of being simply lost,
Either in myself or in the big world around me.
Whenever those come.
If I remember.
To find my way back.
To this altar,
To this sanctuary.
That I have woven with my practice.
I have a chance.
Come back to myself.
Because I slow down and I simply lay on my back and breathe and the place itself.
Gets me back into me.
And the same sometimes I can feel in nature.
Even in places I've never been to before.
Because maybe,
I don't know,
They have traces of my soul as we are all connected.
The sea,
The forest.
Meadow.
Wildflowers.
I find myself in those places and those places become places of my practice.
So now I want to give thanks for this wonderful sanctuary in my home and in the world.
And wish upon you that you also have such a place to go back to.
Find yourself.
Anytime when you are lost.
