Welcome,
This is Nathalie.
This short practice is here for you in those moments when you feel heavy,
Overwhelmed,
Or when your inner critic feels louder than your inner friend.
Instead of pushing through,
We'll pause together,
Soften the weight,
And meet ourselves with kindness.
By the end of this practice,
You'll feel lighter,
Calmer,
And more connected to your own gentle support.
Close your eyes if that feels comfortable.
Let's begin with three grounding breaths together.
Inhale slowly through your nose,
Counting to four,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Now exhale gently through your mouth,
Counting to six,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
And again,
Inhale through your nose,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale through the mouth,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
One last time,
Inhale through the nose,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale through your mouth,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Feel your body settling a little more with each breath.
And now,
Simply notice what is here.
Maybe there is heaviness,
Tension,
Or self-criticism.
Whatever it is,
Acknowledge it softly,
As if you were saying,
I see you,
This is what's here right now.
Now imagine a dear friend sitting across from you,
Feeling exactly the way you do.
What would you say to them?
How would you comfort them?
Take a moment to let the words arise,
Words of kindness,
Support,
Or gentle encouragement.
Now turn those words toward yourself.
You might whisper inwardly,
It's okay to feel this way,
Or I'm not alone in this,
Every human feels heavy sometimes.
I can be gentle with myself.
If it feels natural,
Place a hand on your heart,
Or wrap your arms lightly around yourself.
Feel your own presence,
Your own warmth.
Let your body receive this compassion.
Breathe into this soft space for a few more moments,
Allowing the weight to loosen.
As you take your next deep breath,
Notice how it feels to have met yourself with kindness.
Remember this practice is always here for you.
You can return anytime you feel heavy,
Overwhelmed,
Or simply in need of a softer inner voice.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Carrying this compassion with you into the rest of your day.
