Cancer is the water sign that is ruled by the moon.
Water signs are connected to intuition and emotion,
And the moon symbolizes our deepest feelings and bodily instincts.
So Cancer is the sign most associated with nurturance,
Care,
And connection.
It loves to demonstrate its deep support through acts of service like preparing food,
Keeping the home,
And one-to-one conversation and affection.
The moon also holds our memories,
So Cancer may be interested in the past,
Either through the retelling of stories or through documents or objects that hold links to personal or societal histories.
With its ability to express,
Cancer can also bestow artistic gifts on those with this placement.
Symbolized by the crab,
Cancer is a cardinal sign that's great at beginnings.
While Leo may decide to hold a party,
You'll want a Cancer there to help plan the menu.
With its great capacity for care,
Cancer also needs a protective shell to pull into when things are too much.

Noticing how the moonlight reflects off of them,
Feeling the current running through your fingers,
Reminding you of the precious,
Ever-flowing stream of life,
Allowing your mind to wander out to the many creatures who depend on this water for sustenance.
The trees and plants,
The birds,
The animals.
Noticing how the water gracefully yet strongly flows over rocks and branches,
Always finding a way to move and connect with its home in the rivers,
Lakes,
And oceans.
And for the next couple of minutes,
I want you to commune with this stream,
Allowing your consciousness to dissolve and merge with the healing power of the moon and the nourishing flow of these cool waters.
And now,
Allow your consciousness to gently come back to your body,
Retaining the sense of sustenance and care that the sign of cancer provides.
