Hello,
I'm Nara and this meditation is here to help you connect with the energy of Virgo.
Virgo is the earth sign that is ruled by Mercury.
Earth signs are drawn to what's practical and tangible,
And of the earth signs,
Virgo is the most focused on the realm of human action as a means to create practical results.
Symbolized by a woman holding a shaft of wheat,
Virgo,
Which means virgin,
Is associated with the ancient figure of the priestess,
Who belonged only to herself and lived to serve a higher purpose.
Virgo energy always keeps itself a little bit aloof in some way,
Creating distance so that it can see how things work.
Ruled by Mercury,
Virgo loves information and learning.
But in contrast to Gemini,
Which is also ruled by Mercury,
Virgo is focused on what is done with information and how it fits together into categories.
This means that Virgos are terrific organizers,
Able to clean up messes and sort through massive amounts of information to see what's relevant.
However,
As a mutable sign,
Virgo is never too attached to one way of doing things.
It can be surprisingly flexible when needed.
With its practical bent,
Virgo is also a great problem solver,
Able to find what's not working in a system and figure out what to do with it.
Virgo season comes right after Leo season.
And whereas Leo's basic essence is to shine out,
Virgo's is more in the background.
Many people with Virgo placements prefer to work behind the scenes,
Setting things up and ensuring that everything runs smoothly.
With its ties to the element of Earth and its penchant for problem-solving,
Virgo is also a wonderful healer.
Arriving at the end of summer,
Virgo is here to remind us of the importance of practical order as we ready ourselves for the coming of fall and winter.
So as you deepen into your breath,
Beginning to allow each inhale and each exhale to be a little longer and a little more spacious,
I want you to imagine that you are in a bountiful orchard.
All around you are trees of every kind,
Heavy with ripe fruit that's ready to harvest.
You are the keeper of this orchard,
Planting,
Watering,
Pruning and enjoying the fruit from these beautiful trees.
So for the next couple of minutes,
I just want you to imagine that you are walking around this space,
Sampling the fruits of your labor and losing yourself in the ordered beauty of this abundant landscape.
And now allowing your awareness to come back to the present,
Retaining the sense of order,
Helpfulness and flexibility that is unique to Virgo.
