Hello,
I'm Nara,
And this meditation is here to help you connect with the energy of Saturn.
Saturn is the outermost of the visible planets,
And in pre-modern times,
It was considered to be the coldest and most remote of the heavenly bodies.
Saturn represents time,
Endurance,
Responsibility,
Rules,
And structure.
When we tap into the energy of Saturn,
We access our own ability to make plans,
Set boundaries,
And tolerate difficult and long-lasting circumstances.
In traditional astrology,
The signs of Capricorn and Aquarius are ruled by Saturn.
These signs come during the dead of winter,
When,
In the northern hemisphere,
The weather is cold and plants and animals are in hibernation.
In colder climates,
This can be a lean and difficult time,
One that requires commitment and patience in order to survive.
Saturn is also exalted in Libra,
The air sign that seeks balance in all things.
When Saturn is here,
It tends to want to uphold its social duties,
Keeping us accountable to our communities.
Saturn takes about 29 and a half years to orbit the Sun,
And this time frame is known as a Saturn cycle.
Your Saturn return happens when this planet makes one rotation around the Zodiac,
And returns to the degree where it was when you were born.
Depending on where this is,
It can happen between the ages of about 27 and 30,
And then again in your late 50s or early 60s.
The Saturn return is notorious for being difficult,
But that's not always true.
Saturn is asking us to take responsibility for our own lives,
To level up in our ability to be our own compass,
And ultimately that can be a really liberating and satisfying experience.
The Saturn return is not the only part of the Saturn cycle that affects us.
Every seven years or so,
We get a Saturn square or opposition,
Which can also bring up situations that cause us to mature.
Planets express themselves through the Zodiac sign and house where they fall,
So depending on where Saturn is in your natal chart,
It will manifest differently.
So if you want to now,
Take a moment to think about where Saturn falls in your own chart.
You can consider what sign it's in,
Or even what house.
And now,
As you deepen into your breath,
Making each inhale and each exhale a little longer and a little more spacious,
I want you to imagine your own natal Saturn as a being or character.
Connect with its specific energy.
How does it appear?
How does it feel to you?
And for the next couple of minutes,
Have a conversation with this personal Saturnian being,
Asking how it can best help you to set healthy boundaries,
To access strength and endurance,
And to help you shoulder responsibility.
Three more deep breaths,
Then we will return.
Thank you for joining me on this journey into the energy of Saturn,
And I hope you find beauty,
Kindness,
And strength today and every day.
