Bedtime with Mrs.
Honeybee Today we'll be exploring the world of Roblox.
All you have to do is close your eyes,
Get cozy and listen to the sound of my voice.
Mrs.
Honeybee will be your guide.
Let's begin.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose.
Feel your chest and your spirits lift you up out of your world.
Hold your breath in for a moment as you hover over the scrolling list of Roblox games.
As you slowly breathe out through your mouth,
You are dropped down into your game.
Your chest falls back down and you fall through the air,
Twisting and turning,
Before you land gently on your feet as your avatar in your new game.
In this game,
You are going to adopt a new puppy.
Before you do that though,
You will need to get everything ready.
Look around your house and see what you can add so your new puppy will feel most at home.
Your puppy will definitely need a bed,
A soft cozy bed just like yours.
Head into your bedroom and select the best bed for your new puppy.
There are so many beds to choose from.
You of course choose your favorite color bed and put it right at the foot of your bed.
Now your puppy can spend their first night in their new home close to you,
Their new best friend.
Let's also drape a fuzzy blanket over the bed to make it even cozier.
Each and every night before you tuck yourself in,
You will also tuck your puppy into bed.
Next,
Head into the kitchen of your house.
Your puppy will need food and water bowls so it can enjoy eating breakfast and dinner with you.
So your puppy will know the bowls are for them,
Their names should be written in pretty writing on the side.
Choose a name for your puppy and maybe even a nickname and select their bowls.
Puppies love to play and need plenty of playtime so you'll need to get some toys.
The squeakier the better.
Get tennis balls for playing fetch,
Chew toys for them to wrestle with,
And a snuggly toy for them to snuggle with.
Let's put the snuggly toy in their bed.
Last but not least,
You'll need a collar and a matching leash to take long,
Peaceful walks.
Now you're ready to head to the shelter.
It's just a short walk around the block and it's a beautiful day outside.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose.
Feel the coolness of the air coming in through your nose and the warmth of the sunshine on your skin as you walk down the sidewalk.
Then slowly breathe out through your mouth and open up the doors of the shelter.
You're about to meet your new best friend.
Immediately you can hear all of the friendly animals who are waiting patiently for their forever homes.
You walk up and down the endless hallways,
Visiting with each and every dog and puppy you see.
They're all so happy to see you.
Their tails wag excitedly as you approach and they lick your hands hello when you reach into their pens to pet them.
Continue up and down the halls to see all the different kinds of dogs.
Big ones,
Little ones,
Fluffy ones,
Hyper ones,
Lazy ones,
And even one that looks like a wolf.
Which one is right for you?
That's when you turn around the next corner to walk down the next hallway and you see it.
That one puppy who you just know is yours.
You love this kind of dog and always imagine you'd one day have one as your best buddy.
You walk up to the pen and the puppy rushes over to see you like it's been waiting for you for their whole lives.
You open the pen and walk in and the puppy jumps up to greet you with kisses and hugs.
It can hardly contain its excitement and it does circles around you as you sit on the ground.
Take another slow deep breath in through your nose.
Calm yourself still and your puppy will do the same.
Puppies look to their person when they're not sure what to do.
Then slowly breathe out through your mouth.
Your puppy is now perfectly calm,
Still so very excited,
But now it curls up as close as it can next to you and it rests its head on your lap.
Sitting on the floor,
You pet the soft fur on its head and your new puppy falls right to sleep.
You two are a perfect match.
Now you two can go forever home together as new best friends.
Put on the collar and the leash and head back out the doors into the bright sunshine.
Your puppy is so proud to walk by your side and so happy to have found you.
It was waiting for the perfect person and it knew that was you the moment it saw you.
Your puppy will be by your side each and every day,
Excited to see you when you come home and waiting for you by the door when you leave.
You will take long sunny walks like you are today and you will play fetch and tug of war until you are so tired and collapse onto the soft grass to catch your breath.
Grab one of the tennis balls to play fetch with your puppy in the backyard.
Take a slow deep breath in through your nose and reach back with the ball in your hand to throw it.
Then slowly breathe out through your mouth and throw the ball as far as you can.
Your puppy takes off running through the grass all the way to the other side of the yard,
Running right behind the ball until it catches it,
Turns around and immediately runs back to you.
It drops the ball at your feet and smile a big puppy smile.
You throw it again and again and each time it brings it back.
It has so much energy.
The last time you throw it,
It brings it back to you.
Reach down to give it a good pat and a big squeezing hug.
Now every day will be so much fun.
You go on hikes through the forest,
Spend whole afternoons at the dog park,
Meeting new puppy friends,
Teach it new tricks like how to shake and roll over and cuddle on your couch watching your favorite movies.
The sun is setting over your first day at home with your new puppy.
After you two enjoy your delicious dinners,
It's bedtime.
Your puppy sleepily follows you into your bedroom and barely makes it into the cozy bed you made for it.
It does a little circle in the bed before settling into the softness.
Gently cover it with the blanket so it's extra warm and extra cozy.
Your new puppy will sleep at the foot of your bed each and every night.
