Good morning my fellow morning people and welcome to this amazing new day.

I am the morning person but you can just think of me as that voice in your head who is helping you to fuel up your feel-good tanks and sending you out into the day with a smile.

So let's get this morning meditation party started.

Go ahead and find a comfortable spot where you can sit or lie down and make sure you're not doing anything that requires your attention like driving.

As you get settled I want to talk a little bit about our mantra that you and I will be using this morning.

If you're like me when I was a kid it did not take much for something to just blow my mind and lead me in a complete state of amazement and wonder.

Getting the gift I really wanted,

Winning the big game or finding out a crush like me back.

These and so many more things could send a true and visceral explosion of amazement throughout my brain and body.

As you and I age,

Yeah you're in this with me now,

Our brains accumulate the sensations we have and this accumulation causes us to become desensitized and just plain harder to amaze.

We see the world with less wonder than we did when we were children.

The great news is meditation can help eliminate some of this accumulation and it helps you and I reclaim a bit of that sense of wonder and amazement.

It also helps with a bunch of other things but we'll get into that in future meditations.

So this morning I chose the word amaze as our mantra to give us some intention for reconnecting with the sense of amazement and to remind us to put on our wonder goggles and see just how amazing each day is.

Okay let's get started we're gonna do a few breaths to get some fresh oxygen into our lungs.

I want you to breathe in through your nose and exhale out through your mouth and try to elongate that exhale a little bit.

Make sure you do both the inhale and exhale slowly.

Let's begin,

Take a deep breath in and exhale.

Let's take another breath in and exhale slowly.

Blow all that air out and take a deep breath in and then when you exhale this time just return to your normal breathing.

Feels good to get some oxygen into our bodies.

Now we're gonna begin by saying our mantra.

We'll say it together and we're gonna do it out loud seven times and then whisper it seven times and then I want you to continue to repeat it to yourself throughout the audio session.

If your thoughts drift off great just go back to repeating our mantra amaze.

It does not matter how fast or slow you say it and don't force yourself to say it.

Just in your mind repeat amaze and let your thoughts drift away.

Let's get started with our mantra.

Join me saying out loud amaze,
