Hi everyone,
My name is Mohamed Nizam but my friends call me Mo and I'm talking to you on a rather grey and drizzly day in December of 2020.
I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for listening to the music and also to thank you for the words of encouragement and support,
It really means a lot.
But I also wanted to introduce this next music clip myself because it's something very special.
The way that I normally do the music is that I spend very little time actually composing as such,
So I get the ideas,
Clean it up a tiny little bit and then add sounds and find the right sounds for it.
Then I play guitar over the top,
Improvising and again I try to keep the editing of that to a minimum.
What you hear,
The final result is pretty much very much in the moment as meditation should be.
But this particular clip,
This piece of music started taking more of a song form with a very distinct melody,
A very distinct rhythm and I decided to go along with it because that's what was coming through.
So I went along with it and you're going to hear the final result in a short while.
But before that I wanted to share some words with you because they're reflected I think in the music.
It's a very special time of year,
Some of us resonate with the spiritual consciousness that is present at this time of year and with the figure of Yeshua and if you're one of those you may find what I have to say of interest and even if you're not one of those you might find interesting.
I'm going to read to you the words of the incredible singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen who wrote the beautiful song Hallelujah and he had this to say.
I'm very fond of Jesus Christ.
He may be the most beautiful guy who walked the face of this earth.
Any guy who says blessed are the poor,
Blessed are the meek has got to be a figure of unparalleled generosity and insight and madness.
A man who declared himself to stand amongst the thieves,
The prostitutes and the homeless.
His position cannot be comprehended.
It is an inhuman generosity,
A generosity that would overthrow the world if it was embraced because nothing could weather that compassion.
I'm not trying to alter the Jewish view of Jesus Christ but to me in spite of what I know about the history of legal Christianity the figure of the man has touched me.
So those words make a lot of sense to me and if the figure of the man has touched you and even if the figure of the man hasn't touched you I hope you enjoy this music and I hope you have a good healthy prosperous and joy-filled Christmas and holiday season and I wish you all the best for 2021 and may joy and prosperity and health find you,
Your family,
Your friends,
All your loved ones,
Your tribe,
Your nation and the whole of the earth.
All the best.
Enjoy the music.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
