Light Of The World

This is a special message and piece of music for Christmas, and for anyone who has been moved by the Spirit and Consciousness of the figure of Jesus. It's far more of a 'song' than is usual with my meditation music but like all of them, it started as an improvisation. I also improvised guitar over the track and then, using modern computer magic, I changed the sound to that of a soft and soothing synthesiser. The music is preceded by a short audio message from me.

Mo, this resonates as well in February as it would during the holiday season. The underlying rhythm is very much like a heartbeat and the melody so light and optimistic. Beauty born in a grey day, not unlike the beauty we are asked to be mindful of in the piece you read by Leonard Cohen. Beauty to find in our fellow people, especially those most disadvantaged who need compassion and love as Jesus gave and taught. I was a little sad the music didn’t last longer! I was enjoying the journey it took me on. Thank you for your creation.
