K. Michelle Peavy

Michelle is a licensed clinical psychologist, clinical trainer, and clinical researcher who brings compassion, curiosity, and a touch of playfulness to the practice of mindful meditation. Introduced to mindfulness by a therapist more than 25 years ago, Michelle began a personal meditation practice that soon grew into a deep interest in teaching and helping others discover the same benefits. Over two decades later, mindfulness continues to shape both her personal life and her professional work as a therapist. In her clinical practice, Michelle integrates meditation as a supportive tool for healing, balance, and growth. She also serves as a Scholarly Associate Professor at Washington State University, where her work focuses on training clinicians to help their patients address and change substance use behaviors with compassion and evidence-based practices.
