Welcome.

I'm so glad you're here.

This brief mindfulness practice is designed to help you in moments of rumination or if you find yourself in racing thoughts,

Pretty much any situation where the struggle is your own mind,

Your own thoughts.

So let's jump right in.

Wherever you are,

Start by closing your eyes if you're able and slow down.

Can you slow down your breathing?

Lengthen your inhales.

Extra long exhales.

Slowing down best you can.

On your next breath,

Begin to tie thought to breath and think to yourself breathing in as you inhale and think to yourself breathing out as you exhale,

Tying thought to breath.

It could also be I'm breathing in on the inhale or whatever variation makes sense to you.

The key is to use words in directing your mind to your breath,

Allowing the words to be what your mind rides upon.

So those words breathing in and breathing out are the adhesive.

So go ahead and synchronize your mind to breathing on your own and for the next little while just try to stay with the practice and the sound of my voice will bring us out of the exercise.

Now untying thought from breath.

Let go of this practice and go ahead and breathe naturally,

Letting the words fall away and take note of how you're feeling,

What your mind is up to,

Just observing.

I appreciate that you took a moment of mindfulness and know that at any time you have this tool of tying thought to breath,

You can direct the mind as needed by using words to synchronize mind and breathing whenever you need it.

Now with that I'm wishing you peace,

Harmony,

And joy.
