Hello,
Welcome to this meditation.
I am so happy you're here.
First and foremost,
I just want to say that you are loved,
You are safe,
And you are worthy.
Now,
To get into today's topic,
I want to talk about calming down our brains when they go into overdrive and our thoughts start feeling a bit muddied.
I know we've all been there,
I've definitely been there.
Don't be hard on yourself.
Life happens and sometimes we get so caught up in our own thoughts that we just need a small reminder and reset to shift our attention outside of ourselves.
We are here to calm down.
Sitting down,
Lying down or standing.
Just relax into your body.
Feel your muscle tension relieve itself.
Take a deep breath in through your nose.
And exhale through your mouth.
I want to share something that has been helping me lately with grounding myself.
I've always heard about the importance of breathwork,
But only recently,
In the last few weeks,
Did I actually start focusing on it and improving.
Being able to get a nice,
Full,
Deep breath is one of the best tools we have to be able to calm down a racing mind.
Before I get into affirmations for overthinking,
I want to calm down our breathing together first.
It's okay if you feel any tightness during this exercise.
Remember,
It's just an exercise.
No one is expecting perfection.
I'm definitely not expecting perfection.
I'm just grateful and happy that you're here and you're trying.
That's all that matters right now.
Okay,
Let's take three deep breaths together.
Breath in and breathe out.
And exhale.
In through your nose.
And exhale.
Breathe in through your nose.
And exhale.
Great job.
Now,
I want to get into some affirmations for overthinking.
We've all been there,
It's okay.
Thinking is just a natural part of human life.
So our challenge is not to stop ourselves from thinking,
But just to be able to come back into our bodies when we need to.
Now,
I want you to repeat these affirmations out loud to yourself.
And go ahead and close your eyes if that feels comfortable.
People care about me and my well-being.
I care about me.
I take care of myself.
People like to see me happy.
I am cherished and loved.
I believe in the goodness of others.
I believe in the goodness of myself.
I am worthy of a calm mind.
I am able to relax and bring myself to center.
I trust myself.
Amazing.
Thank you for doing those affirmations with me.
Again,
I am so grateful that you're here.
It takes so much strength to say,
I need to slow down.
I think in such a fast-paced world,
Slowing down is essential for a calm mind.
So thank you and thank yourself for being here.
As you return to your day,
Please remember,
Healing is not a linear process and be gentle with yourself.
Thank you so much for being here and I hope you have a beautiful rest of your day.
