Hello and welcome to this meditation.

I'm so happy you're here.

First,

Sit in a comfortable position and gently close your eyes.

Today,

I wanna talk about forgiveness.

We are often told that we need to forgive others in order to release anger or resentment,

And that is true.

But what about forgiving ourselves?

I believe one of the first real steps to becoming a happier person is learning how to truly let go of the shame we carry from past mistakes.

I know this can sound much easier said than done,

So let me offer a gentle reframe.

One reason you may struggle to forgive yourself is that you may think making mistakes means that you are not a good person,

But I believe something different.

I believe that a genuinely good person is someone who takes the time to reflect on their mistakes and learns from them.

If you are willing to reflect,

Grow,

And do better,

Then you are a good person.

Now,

In this moment,

Allow yourself to relax.

Release the past,

Knowing that it does not define you.

You are allowed to move forward with compassion,

Acceptance,

And forgiveness,

Especially toward yourself.

Now,

I want you to repeat these affirmations out loud or to yourself.

I am learning and growing.

I deserve the same patience that I have for others.

I have compassion for myself.

I am worthy of inner peace.

I am perfectly imperfect.

I have good intentions.

I accept all parts of myself.

I move toward a brighter future.

Good.

Now,

Take a slow breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Amazing.

Now,

As you return to your day,

Please remember healing is not a linear process and be gentle with yourself.
