This meditation can be used to unwind if you are short on time.
Sit comfortably with eyes closed,
Get in touch with your breathing,
Feeling the rise and fall of your chest as your body moves softly with the breath.
Imagine a warm light coming in through the top of your head.
You can do this by thinking of your favorite color,
If you like,
And imagine being surrounded by that color.
As you do this,
Think of your face relaxing,
Your jaw loosening,
Your shoulders softening,
Your breathing slowing,
Your stomach relaxing,
Your legs feeling heavier into the chair.
Feel your feet meet the floor.
Imagine this color falling over you like a waterfall.
Sit like this,
Bathed in this color for a few moments.
And you can think of everything relaxing again,
And you can do this as many times as you like.
Thinking of this color and thinking of your body will connect you back with the moment,
Back with what is happening right now.
And when you're ready,
Allowing your eyes to softly open,
Bringing yourself gently out of this mindful meditation.
