Welcome to the bilateral meditation podcast your safe haven for mindfulness and stress release In each episode we guide you on a serene journey using bilateral stimulation and EMDR techniques to help you find balance and inner peace Whether you're experienced at meditating or just beginning your mindfulness journey Our podcast is designed to help you create calm amidst the chaos of everyday life.

So make yourself comfortable and let's begin Welcome to today's meditation session where we will be guiding you through a calming and rejuvenating meditation journey set within a serene,

California redwood forest To begin find a comfortable seated position Gently close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose filling your lungs completely and then slowly exhale through your mouth releasing any tension in your body as You continue to breathe deeply and evenly Imagine yourself standing at the entrance to a magnificent redwood forest The Sun is shining gently through the canopy casting dappled light onto the soft moss covered forest floor The air is fresh and filled with the sense of damp earth,

Fragrant ferns and ancient redwoods Begin to walk slowly along the winding path feeling the spongy forest floor beneath your feet With each step feel your body becoming more relaxed and your mind becoming more clear and focus As you walk deeper into the forest you begin to hear the gentle sound of a waterfall in the distance The air grows cooler and the sound of the waterfall grows louder Allow the soothing sound of the water to calm your mind and wash away any worries or concerns As you approach the waterfall you notice a small clearing nestled among the towering redwoods In the center of the clearing is a smooth flat rock the perfect place to sit and meditate Take a seat on the rock and allow your body to become completely at ease Feel the solid grounding presence of the rock beneath you supporting you as you settle into your meditation practice Begin to focus on your breath inhaling deeply through your nose and exhaling slowly through your mouth Allow your breath to flow naturally and effortlessly like the water cascading over the nearby waterfall As you continue to breathe imagine the cool refreshing mist from the waterfall gently touching your skin refreshing and revitalizing your entire being With each breath let the sound of the waterfall and the beauty of the redwood forest seep deeper into your consciousness filling you with a sense of peace and tranquility Allow the soothing energy of the redwood forest and the waterfall to fill you with a deep sense of inner peace and calm Imagine the ancient redwoods standing tall and strong,

Their roots reaching deep into the earth providing a sense of grounding and stability Allow this grounding energy to flow through your body helping you feel more connected and present Take a moment to appreciate the beauty of nature around you,

The lush green foliage,

The soothing sound of the waterfall the gentle warmth of the sun filtering through the trees Let these elements nurture your soul and bring balance and harmony to your mind and body Take a few more deep cleansing breaths Inhale deeply through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth feeling a renewed sense of peace and well-being throughout your entire being Now let's embark on a visualization journey to further deepen our connection to the natural world Imagine yourself standing at the base of a magnificent redwood tree Its trunk is immense and its branches reach high into the sky Close your eyes and place your hands on the rough bark of the tree feeling its ancient energy pulsating beneath your fingertips As you breathe in,

Visualize drawing in the tree's grounding energy filling your entire body with strength and resilience With each exhale,

Imagine sending gratitude back to the tree for its unwavering presence and support Continue this journey to the end of your life and feel the tree's energy and support Continue this exchange of energy and gratitude for a few more breaths allowing the tree's ancient wisdom to infuse your being with a deep sense of connection and belonging As you complete this energy exchange,

Slowly remove your hands from the tree and take a few steps back,

Looking up at the towering redwood in awe and admiration Begin walking back towards the clearing,

Feeling the gentle crunch of leaves and twigs beneath your feet As you walk,

Allow the beauty of the forest to envelop you and notice the many small wonders that surround you the rustle of leaves in the breeze and the songs of birds high in the treetops When you reach the clearing,

Sit down once again on the smooth,

Flat rock Take a few moments to breathe deeply and absorb the healing energy of the forest and the waterfall Spend a few moments here,

Feeling the connection between your body,

The earth,

And the energy of the redwood forest Allow this sense of connection to nourish your mind and body As we come to the end of our meditation,

Take a few deep,

Cleansing breaths Inhale deeply through your nose,

And exhale slowly through your mouth,

Feeling a renewed sense of peace and well-being throughout your entire being You may keep your eyes closed and continue listening to the sounds of nature,

Or if you are ready,
