Just take in a deep breath and let it out.

You can either stare at a spot somewhere or just let yourself close your eyes.
Now take in another deep breath and let it out.
Just notice a wave of relaxation from the bottom of your feet to the top of your head.
With each breath you take in,
You're breathing in relaxation and peacefulness.
Good.
With each exhale you're letting go of any tension or stressors.
Just letting go now,
Knowing that you are in complete control of your environment right now in this room,
In this setting.
Noticing the sound of my voice takes you deeper and deeper into relaxation.
Any other sounds that you hear are just the everyday sounds of living and they also just take you deeper and deeper into relaxation.
With each breath you draw in and with each exhale,
You feel so much more relaxed.
In this very relaxed state,
Please say to yourself,
Calm and relaxed.
Calm and relaxed.
Anytime you want to come back to this very peaceful,
Relaxing place,
You just say the words calm and relaxed and you'll be right back in this very relaxed state of being.
Now just let yourself go in your mind to a very relaxing,
Peaceful place.
This can be a place out in nature,
Or it can be in a beautiful mountain cabin,
Or a beach house,
Whatever you would like.
This is your peaceful place.
It could be a place that actually exists,
Or it can be a place in your imagination,
Or it can be a combination of both.
It's really important that you don't judge it or analyze it.
Just let it unfold.
It doesn't have to be perfect.
The more often you allow yourself to go to this relaxing,
Peaceful place,
The more detailed it will become.
You can fill in the details as you go.
So just let yourself go.
Allow all of your senses to be there.
Notice everything that you see.
All the colors,
And shapes,
And textures.
Noticing that the colors are so vivid now.
All your favorite colors.
Okay,
Now notice anything that you may hear.
It may be the sound of the birds,
The trees,
The water,
Or maybe it's just quiet and peaceful.
It's completely up to you.
Okay,
Now notice your favorite scents in the air.
Maybe you smell your favorite flowers,
Maybe the scent of pine trees,
Maybe the ocean,
Or maybe just fresh air.
Whatever you prefer.
This is your peaceful place.
Now notice that the temperature is just perfect for you.
Also notice that the sounds you were hearing,
And the clothes that you are wearing,
And your peaceful place land so gently against your skin.
You feel so comfortable,
So peaceful,
And so relaxed.
And when you're ready,
Just open your eyes and rejoin the world.
Knowing that you are calm,
Centered,
And comfortable in your own skin.
