Welcome to your parasympathetic soothing meditation.
You can do this meditation sitting in a chair or cross-legged with your back straight or you might like to lie down.
I recommend tuning in and anchoring into the heart and to help provide an anchor and to ground you can place one hand over your heart center in the middle of your chest and the other hand over your sacral or your tummy and just tune in and feel what it's like to have the connection of your hands on the physical body soothing you.
And before we get started to help us really relax we're going to start with three big belly breaths,
Three big deep breaths,
Long slow breaths.
Big breath in through the nose pushing the belly out and release that out through the mouth.
Big breath out through the mouth.
Two more times,
Big breath in,
In and just start to notice that you're feeling very relaxed.
All the tension from your muscles,
From your face,
From your jaw is all just melting away.
As you're moving through this meditation just make sure that you continue to breathe.
You can just breathe very gently in a natural rhythm or if you're finding it harder to relax just continue with the big slow belly breaths that we did at the beginning.
When the mind wanders which is perfectly normal,
Just when you notice that it has wandered ever so gently bring yourself back to the feeling of your hands on your heart and on your sacral.
Just noticing the ability that you have to soothe yourself with the touch of your hands,
The connection the connection that you're making to the physical body,
Just a gentle loving connection.
Just noticing the gentle undulations of your breath,
Noticing now it's consistent rhythm.
You may also tune in to the gentle beating of your heart using your hands to strengthen that connection,
Tuning in to your body in a very gentle loving way.
When this beautiful connection that you've made between your hands and your body,
Just intend to send yourself loving energy,
Infinite loving energy.
And if there's anywhere else on your body where you feel could be more relaxed,
If it's in reach of your hands feel free to place your hands over those parts of your body and just intentionally send all parts of your body the loving energy that's building up in your hands that's building up in your hands.
Let this loving energy fill your whole physical body from the top of your head to the soles of your feet.
Notice that the energy that is coming out of your hands is a light energy.
Just intend or see your whole body from the top of your head to the soles of your feet is completely full of light.
This light might even have a color and just tune in,
Allow your intuition to guide you and fill your body with whatever color light you feel it needs.
Just imagine your whole physical body is radiating that color,
That light and just tune in and feel what that's like.
As we prepare to come back in to the awareness of our surroundings,
Just start to gently bring energy back into your fingers and toes,
Just giving them a wriggle,
Becoming aware of the surface underneath you and of the room that you're in.
When you feel ready you can gently open your eyes.
