Welcome to the Cosmic Breathing Meditation or Brahmanda Pranava Pranayama.
Cosmic Breathing Meditation is a spiritual breathing.
We go deeper into ourselves,
Breathing light and consciousness and releasing what isn't serving us so that we can be in the present moment,
Letting go of what isn't ours and what doesn't serve our highest good.
So just check in with your posture before we begin,
Sitting with your spine nice and straight,
Keeping the body open and loose.
So let's start by taking some very calm slow breaths with full awareness.
When you inhale you are filling your body up with new prana,
Fresh oxygen and when you exhale you are releasing what you no longer need.
Inhale,
In comes fresh fresh prana and oxygen and as you exhale you release again.
Open up your whole being,
You expand your mind,
Your consciousness and as you let go with the exhale,
You release a little more of what you have been holding on to.
Feeling grateful for your breath as when you breathe in you are receiving a gift.
Feeling this in your heart,
Opening up with gratitude for the incoming breath and the release that the outgoing breath provides.
Your breathing becomes much more than simply bringing air into the body,
It is a way to bring in life force,
Prana,
Vitality,
Light.
Make sure to hold your awareness on the breathing,
Keeping awareness on each breath.
Keeping awareness on every present moment.
The gratitude to yourself for being here,
For being here now,
Going deeper into yourself,
Going deeper into consciousness,
Into the pure source and essence of your being.
Now notice how the breath is something that happens completely by itself,
Like a higher universal intelligence.
Creation,
Breathing,
Breathing,
Creation.
There is no need to try to breathe now,
You can let go completely of the breath,
Of the breath,
No more effort.
Allow the breath to simply happen by itself,
So you can let go and open up into all that you are.
Open up into your wholeness,
Wholeness connected to everything,
To every living thing.
Every living thing has spirit,
The same spirit that lives within you,
That flows through you,
Your prana.
Taking your time to return very slowly back to the physical senses,
Gently,
Calmly,
Bringing back the awareness to the room.
Noticing what's around you,
Smells and sounds and feelings,
And do this gently until you feel ready to open your eyes.
Aho Namaste.
