You Briefly,
Without overwhelming thought.
To turn at a stoplight or continue straight to simply enter a parking lot.
Each hour we make thousands of brief decisions.
Each of these slightly shift the trajectory of our day,
Our life.
We rarely consider the effects of inconsequential choices until they become consequential.
Only in hindsight do we start to reflect on each small choice that led up to the moment where our choices had a large enough impact to be felt.
If we consider all of the insignificant experiences we begin to see the power in all of the moments we have.
The ones where fleeting thoughts overcame us and yet we chose not to act upon them.
To share a hug,
To tell someone something,
To experience an activity or an event.
But the choice we made is equally powerful,
Shaping the way the energy around us proceeds in life.
If I told you I was taking away your choice,
How would you feel?
How would you exist?
If I told you that tomorrow you could only make three decisions for yourself,
What would they be?
Who comes to mind when you consider the choices you make daily?
What comes to mind when you consider those choices?
What thoughts rise to the surface when you reflect on those large choices that you made that shaped the life that you live today?
What comes to mind when you consider those choices that you made that shaped the life that you live today?
What about all the small choices you forgot about?
If your choices were no longer yours,
What would you miss the most?
What choices would you make today if you had no choices to make tomorrow?
Would you choose to fret,
Worry,
Argue?
Would you choose gratitude,
Acceptance,
Being present,
Love?
In what ways would you choose to be here now,
To be with those around you?
In what ways would you show up?
In what ways would your choices be made on how they impact meaningful relationships in your life?
You get to make your choices tomorrow,
How you start your day,
Who you say good morning to,
And how.
You get to choose how you treat your body and what thoughts you let linger.
You get to choose,
My dear.
You get to choose.
You get to choose how you engage with the people around you.
You get to choose.
You get to choose how your spirit floats as it walks on this earth.
You get to choose how you end the day in reflection,
Gratitude,
And knowing that that choice is yours.
What will you choose?
What will you choose?
