Hello and thank you for joining me in this meditation.

My name is Lydia and I will be guiding you through a seven-minute meditation focusing on giving yourself love and compassion.

I'm going to help you feel a little bit more supported and calm in whatever emotional state you are currently in.

So let's start.

I invite you now to start this meditation with three big full breaths.

In through the nose and sighing out through the mouth.

You may now settle into your regular breath.

In your own time take a moment to gently place your hand over your heart.

If you prefer you may like to explore where on your body a gentle touch feels good for you.

Feel into the gentle pressure and warmth of your hand.

Notice these sensations for a moment.

If you wish you may like to make small circles with your hand resting on your body.

Feel the rise and the fall of your breath.

Linger with this feeling for a short moment.

In this moment I invite you to notice your emotions regardless of how you may feel.

Happy,

Calm,

Frustrated,

Tired.

If you can try not pushing this feeling away.

Instead I invite you to notice this emotion and send it love.

If you feel comfortable you may like to come up with a mantra such as I give myself love and compassion in this moment or anything else that may connect with you.

And in these final moments of this meditation I invite you to repeat this mantra to yourself for a few moments.

As we come to the end of our meditation thank yourself for taking this time out for you and in your own time I invite you to gently open your eyes and start your day.

Thank you for listening everyone I hope you will be able to carry this love and compassion into the rest of your day.

I look forward to joining you in another meditation next time.

I appreciated the pacing of this meditation. I found that the teacher explanation of the upcoming silence well. I found the idea of sending my anxious thoughts love very soothing. Many thanks. 💛
