Melissa found meditation in 1998 practicing with masters from Burma and the United States. She has attended intensive silent meditation retreats yearly since that time and has over 10,000 hours of meditation training. She began teaching in 2003 and teaches with MNDFL and Dharma Punx in New York City and Insight LA and Wanderlust in Los Angeles. She leads retreats, workshops and teacher trainings around the country and teaches for the Wanderlust 108 festivals and hosts a weekly zoom class.
