Hi,
I'm Alina and I've been a masseuse for over 15 years and I've fixed a lot of neck problems and I've got a few neck problems from surfing and digging holes.
On the farm,
So I do a lot of neck,
Self neck massage.
So we're going to get some oil,
I've just got macadamia oil with a bit of lavender,
So whatever suits Whatever suits you.
I'm just dipping my fingers in,
Rubbing a little bit all around my shoulders.
And a bit around my pecs.
Okay,
So we'll just start off with the scalenes.
So just soft hands,
Soft palms.
Your hands might get tired as soon as you hang it,
You always use one hand at a time that way.
Ew.
If your hand gets tired,
You can swap hands.
Okay,
Then a little bit on the back,
Let's see.
You'll feel,
You'll start to feel.
All the tight bits.
New body.
Oh,
Yeah.
So I'm just doing circles.
Along the side of my spinal column.
There's all these transverse processes where lots of muscles join on.
And I'm rubbing along.
That trying to fuel some of those guys.
And a little bit into my shoulders and a little bit into the middle of my head.
Shoulders so just playing with your your body.
So there's guys.
Super important look at them oh yeah and so it's good to like because i'm doing a bit of a side right ear to right shoulder kind of stretch i can really feel into that tight spot in there.
Just leaning into that,
Giving it a good rub.
A lot of love.
And then changing sides.
There's nothing on this side,
So noticing the difference in each side of your body.
Ooh.
The front scalenes,
They're hard to get the hang of massaging,
But they're definitely worth it.
All along.
Your clavicles.
Other side.
Ahhhh.
And I'm just changing hands pretty regularly.
Using one for a count of 5 or a count of 10.
Oh,
I'm getting into that shoulder muscle now.
By changing places,
You change the load on your hands and the shoulder.
Oh,
Big chunky lumpy.
Little bit of a head tilt forward and laying into that.
Into those muscles,
Into that shoulder.
Changing hands.
Mm-hmm.
Again left ear to left shoulder.
Boom.
I'm just exploring,
Where's tight on you?
Really hard to do along the front jawline.
Mmmmm.
Changing sides and slowly moving.
He left his left shoulder.
Mmm.
Yeah,
Feel the difference,
Like on me on this side there's just nothing.
But if y'all let it stay there a bit longer.
I'm just going to lift up my chin.
And work along this join.
I don't work this join nearly enough and you can see because I get more tightly.
Mmm.
And then changing hands.
But listening to your hands.
Hmm.
Letting your hands explore gently but firmly.
I'm going to go along the top of my jawline.
A little bit more oil there.
Mm-hmm.
I don't know what kind of noises you feel like making.
Oh,
Getting into that jaw.
I'm going to do my mustache line under my nose.
Mm.
Mm-hmm.
Cheekbones.
Oh,
I love it.
Ooh,
Where's your tight spots?
Are you getting into them?
You can move around a different place.
Ooh.
My eyebrows,
Yeah my eyebrow line gets super tight Who would know unless you rubbed it,
Hey?
Mmm.
A little bit more oil Mmm.
Just feel into your body for a moment while you're working.
Feel how much more relaxed you're feeling just after five minutes of training.
Giving yourself a tiny bit of love.
Oh,
My forehead.
Your forehead feels.
Hmm.
If you find any particularly tight spots.
A little bit more oil on my temples.
They seem to get really dry my temples.
When it gets dry on you.
A little bit on your ears.
My ears always love a rub.
I don't think he used to even care that much.
Mmm.
So I'm just rotating my ear and it feels wonderful.
I'm rotating my other ear.
Okay,
I'm gonna come down the back of my neck a bit for a while.
Boom.
Boom.
In the middle.
Ooh.
And the sides.
Oh yeah,
Now there's a line at the back of your head.
We're just going to work along that line,
So it's going to get rid of all the oil on me.
I'm rubbing it around.
I'm not too oily when I go along the hairline.
Okay.
Okay,
So just rubbing along the back of my hair.
I don't know if you can see it all,
But.
.
.
Mmm,
With lots of muscles come up your neck and they join on.
There's two little ridges there.
All the muscles join on.
Giving those guys a good rub.
Feel how warm you're getting if you.
I don't know if you're in a cold place or a hot place,
But.
.
.
Definitely warm up when you self massage.
Oof find the tight spots.
Mmm,
Yeah behind my ears from wearing earmuffs.
And my tractor gets really tight.
Ewww.
Ooh,
And then getting into your scalp in any way that feels fantastic.
Because those neck muscles,
They join onto a thing called an aponeurosis,
Which goes over your whole scalp.
And then all the muscles up here join onto it,
So it's a big thing.
Fibrous thing across the whole scalp.
Boom.
In circles and rubbing.
I'm messing up my hair.
I did such a good job on it too.
Mmm.
Yep,
Definitely can feel those really tight spots.
Okay,
And then I think we'll come down the neck a little bit more.
Trowel is here.
So back again,
Finding those particular bits that stood out to you.
So for me.
.
.
Ooh,
Yeah.
Maybe a bit of left ear to left shoulder.
Yeah,
Feel how different it's feeling.
Like mine's definitely,
I was like,
Which side's sore now?
Left ear to left ear.
Yeah,
It's definitely improved from before.
In 10 minutes.
Massage.
So I think we'll call that a day today.
So,
10 minute massage.
How are you feeling?
I definitely feel a lot better in my head area.
Have a great day.
