Welcome,
I'm Melanie,
A qualified body worker and certified shadow work coach,
Specialising in helping highly sensitive people navigate times of transition with more self love.
Today I would love to guide you through some gentle yet powerful affirmations to help you find more compassion and kindness for yourself.
Because when things are feeling uncertain and challenging,
That's when we need our own love the most.
As I recite these affirmations,
There's nothing you need to do,
No special effort required.
It's likely that life is challenging enough at the moment,
So you can just let yourself get really comfortable and follow along with my words.
If at any time there's anything I say that doesn't work for you,
You can either adapt it so that it does work,
Or just let it go.
So,
Allow yourself to take a couple of slower,
Deeper breaths.
Allow yourself to get really comfortable.
And we'll begin.
And even though there may be things in my life which feel uncertain right now,
I open to the possibility of finding steadiness.
I open to the possibility of finding steadiness in myself.
I open to finding steadiness right here and right now in the rhythm of my breath.
I allow my breath to flow in and out like waves on the shore,
And I let myself find steadiness in the rhythm of the waves.
I open to finding steadiness in the sensation of my body everywhere it touches the support beneath me.
I give myself permission to really feel the sensations of my body touching the support beneath me.
I give myself permission to really rest into the steadiness of that support.
I allow myself to open to a sense of being supported here and now.
I open to a sense of support by simply feeling the support.
Soft solidity of my own body.
I open to a sense of support here and now,
And I open to the possibility of receiving support in my life.
I open to the possibility of receiving support from the people around me.
I open to the possibility of finding support in places and in ways I can't even imagine yet.
I open myself to the possibility of receiving support.
And even though the path may feel rocky at the moment,
I trust that I will find a way.
I trust that I can navigate my way through this.
I just need to keep putting one foot in front of the other,
And I can do that.
I can keep putting one foot in front of the other.
Even if it feels hard sometimes,
I know that putting one foot in front of the other is an act of love for myself.
It's an investment in my future life and an act of love for myself.
It's an investment in my future self.
As I continue putting one foot in front of the other,
I open to being as kind and gentle with myself as I possibly can.
I open to treating myself with care.
And I send love forward in time to my future self,
The one who got through this.
Seeing or feeling or imagining that love now beaming forward in time to my future self.
And I know that my future self is sending so much love and gratitude backwards in time to me here now.
I allow myself to open to receive that love from my future self.
I allow myself to breathe it in.
To drink it into every cell of my body.
Drinking in the love from my future self and receiving it now into every cell in my body.
As I receive this love,
I open to the possibility that somehow good may emerge out of all of this.
Even if I may not be able to see it right now.
And right here,
Right now,
There is nothing for me to do.
Right here,
Right now,
I don't even have to keep putting one foot in front of the other.
Right here,
Right now,
All I have to do is be.
I give myself permission to be exactly as I am.
Breathing in deeply through my nose.
Breathing out slowly through my mouth.
Breathing in and feeling my breath filling my body.
Breathing out and releasing the weight I've been carrying.
Breath by breath.
Letting myself soften in my body and in my mind.
Softening in all the places that are ready and able and willing to soften.
Softening into the support beneath me.
It's okay to soften.
It's okay to let go.
It's good to feel all my softness and all my steadiness in my body and my being right here and now.
Right here,
Right now,
I know that I am strong and steady in my softness.
Right here,
Right now.
I am strong.
I am soft.
I am steady.
I am supported.
